Sounds about right. As for #3...Beastie Boys? The return didn't happen this year and the other major fests seem to have their headliners squared away, so 2011? It could also end up being Kings of Leon instead of Arcade Fire, though.
Wilco is due to return, Gnarls Barkley is due to be the next "we played the Gobi and now we're billed high on the main" act if they have a third album and hit single by then, Feist is overdue to play and surely will have a new album out by then, and if we're really lucky...The Knife? If Beck will take second billing at other fests, maybe he can be a solid #2 next year? What about reunions? Does Jeff Mangum playing live again make a Neutral Milk Hotel reunion highly improbable instead of completely impossible? Did the buzz surrounding those recent Glasto rumors finally warm Jarvis to bringing Pulp out of hiatus? Something completely random (Mazzy Star, Curve, Ride, Cibo Matto)?
Kings of Leon won't headline next year. If they would've taken the rest of the year off and not toured I can see them being asked first but given that they decided to keep going will make them feel "used". I can see them being called in if a headliner drops out though.
Daft Punk makes sense. I didn't think Arcade Fire but then I heard a comment today that got me to think otherwise (I guess we'll have to wait and see what their fall tour looks like).
I honestly do feel that its Radiohead time to return. Since they will probably have a new album out by then.
Daft Punk, Interpol, REM.
The White Stripes 9/18
"It's in the K" - Martha Stewart
Since the show list is very minimal...
August 29 // Chemical Brothers w/ Chromeo & Yacht @ Hollywood Bowl
September 26 // Vampire Weekend w/ Beach House & the Very Best @ Hollywood Bowl
October 5 // ARCADE FIRE @ Henry Miller Library
October 13 // Corin Tucker Band @ The El Rey
(someone should give me Sufjan Stevens tickets, aint got none of those)
