I've seen some of their live videos post-90's and it's just not that great imo.
I want to love them as much as I used to, but something about Patton's voice (now that he's older) kind of kills it for me.

Faith No More are arty and experimental because they say they are and that is all the evidence you need.
Never mind that you find it not very interesting. They are interesting because it is insisted they are, regardless of evidence to that end.
"All of you coachella 'regulars' have nasty boy pussies and itchy dick4's on your asses.
Why don't you all make like a tree and get chopped down and die. You all have been dreadfully mean to me.
I Hate you. All of you. None of you will ever get to see a womans chest meat or finger blast hott cougies like me.
Fuck you all. Consider this my resignation.

Are you kidding me? YES, you will be missing out. Shut up, Banana.
Lol. Bungle is the band everyone pretends FNM is.
Now THAT is a set I could get excited about.

Friday Night Magic? j/k
But yes, I agree with daxton. There's a 79+ page thread supporting this.

Coachella '12 Homework Helper NEW and UPGRADED!
My Blog - Now with more P90X!
you don't have to be there the entire set.
i usually look up previous setlists and figure out what i want to watch. if you want the songs they're know for, they usually play them at the end. but sometimes, an entrance is cool. if the vibe keeps you there, then stay.
i'll be watching people i've never of, just because i'm on my way to a stage and sometimes they keep me for a song or two. it's twelve consecutive hours of music... c'mon!

Maybe you don't realize this may be the only chance you'll get to see them live?
Problem with FNM sets is that they split up all of the key songs in their set pretty evenly throughout the show, so it's hard to pick and choose when to stay or go. They don't stack the hits or the diehard choices in any one place, so you'd have to take the risk in missing out on something great over something instantly forgettable depending on how you divide your time.
i really just want to see them play "stripsearch." i doubt they will, but oh well...
(by the way: is it me, or does brandon boyd from incubus really sound like him in this song? the voices are pretty similar).

I agree with you and I'll be there for the whole set, but a lot of people will be strolling in casually wanting to hear Midlife Crisis/Epic or just checking out the fuss around why they're so great. Those people shouldn't expect too much.
Well, I'm one of those people.

I can't know all of the albums of every single band at Coachella. Everyone will be that person for a couple bands here and there.

I would say Faith No More can be easily missed.
I won't be there. But I think their music sucks so thats a biased opinion.
If you are debating it, just listen to more of their music and wait for the set times to come out... if theres somebody realllly good during their set then miss em. If not then check it out. simple as that.
it's a festival show, that's going to be rather common. You should stick to fan club only shows if it's going to infuriate you excessively...
It's possible that a person comes for only the hits, only to have their view of the band expanded through a great performance, and leave the set a fan for life
feel free to obsess and practice your irrationality freely though

Yeah yeah yeah. I know. I didn't sleep last night. I'm a little out of sorts today. Excuse me everyone.
You're excused
'99-'11...
Wait, so they usually dont play Stripsearch? Damn.
I don't think you should judge a live performance based on a video.
