I wonder if Boise, Idaho will make the cut. I wouldn't mind seeing this with my dad and I haven't seen him in years. Plus I have promised my sister a visit this year. Yep, i'm hoping for a Boise, Idaho date when this tour gets announced.
This is one of the shows I'm going to buy two extra tickets and sell tj3m for a ridiculous price
Have your dad go to Seattle...
And you should check the old dark side tour dates to see what he did back in 06...
i think you mean bloated, heavy handed music.
Now you've got my interest. In your opinion what was it lacking? Is Waters no longer capable of performing to a level the music deserves? Did he do a poor job of picking musicians and ensuring they were ready to pull it off? Or did it just lack the spiritual presence and emotion that Pink Floyd brings as a whole?
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case....
Proof?
I'm not a big fan of his backing band but Roger always puts on an amazing show, and the argument of him using backing vocals is technically true but the backing vocals are used to enhance the sound much like Peter Gabriel uses and many other "older" musicians use.
Ok so Shine on you Crazy Diamond (parts 6-9) started playing on my random when I started reading this thread.
I love the Wall, but I doubt this won't cost more than I am willing to spend. Its practically a high priced knock-off at this point anyways.
Waters has never had a pristine voice and compared to many other musicians of his generation his voice has held up quite well. As I stated earlier I'm not a fan of his backing band, but I do know for this upcoming tour his making some changes to the band. Unfortunately hes keeping Dave Kilminster.
You also presented a clip where 90% of the audio is coming from a crowd singing along, so in that sense you are right it was a sing-a-long. When I saw him in 06 the crowd was damn near silent, hilarious for a concert to be quiet, and his voice was quite good even with the use of backing vocals.
Yes his backing band is shit, I personally don't mind the female singers he uses, but I'm just not a fan of Dave Kilminster and as far as I can tell a lot of other people don't like him. Idk why Roger insists on keeping him. Beg Doyle Bramhall II to come back.
Before you guys encourage the Monky any further, read this

He's expressed his hatred for Roger Waters for years now, no need to continue.
Oh this should be great. Another 3 nights at the Hollywood Bowl?
BD, thanks for the guidance and direction. I actually thought about it and decided I really wanted to risk hearing his opinion on this. It won't change my mind on going, but clearer critique keeps me from going into a show with unrealistic expectations. I'd rather be impressed than let down. If it blows, oh well, I've seen the sans waters Floyd and will always have that memory.
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case....
What are the chances of him performing at Coachella again for this tour in 2011?

Probably slim since he will be touring Europe throughout 2011
