Default Roger Waters The Wall Tour 2010-2011

Dates to be announced sometime in April with ticket onsales following shortly. First run of dates will be a 50+ date arena tour of North America that will run from mid-September until mid-December with European dates to follow. Rehearsal for the shows will begin sometime in August.

Needless to say, I'm going to be broke as of next month.

Probably 2-3 L.A. dates if not more are coming our way

Also here are some possible leaked dates:
    November 13: Fort Lauderdale
    November 14: Fort Lauderdale
    November 16: Tampa
    November 18: Atlanta

    Taken from:
    http://www.rogerwaters.eu/algemeen/t...2010-2011.html

Unfortunately there is no venue details as of quite yet, simply speculation

Youre going to have to link the source btw. Cause initially it was supposed to be all outdoors....

And itll be at Staples Center if it goes down...

If, last I heard, it was a no go because Waters is a greedy ass.

p.s. youre 6 months late on even mentioning this going down....... check the bonnaroo thread.

Source is mainly a guy who runs a Pink Floyd fan site and has been in contact with Roger's manager and claims to have other sources. I also heard something about a venue in Toronto that was claiming to have booked a Roger Waters show. Another source had claimed that he was with a booking agent in the L.A. area who was in talks with an unknown client and was attempting to book a Roger Waters show for the L.A. area.

As far as I know this tour is all but a lock and dates are to be announced next month. The Bonarroo speculation on the other hand was blown out of proportion and never came through, why I do not know.

Lol and I do remember you breaking this in the Bonarroo thread Supre, twice if I'm not mistaken. Just wanted to create something a litle more "official" now that venue info and onsale dates should be coming.

And for anyone that wants to get a little more info, theres a site called www.pinkfloydz.com that has all of this same info up. Theres a section of the forum dedicated to the 2010-2011 tour.

I adore this album. Most Pink Floyd fans are not Wall supporters, but a chance to see him play this would be amazing.

Take every major city, and put an Arena name next to it, thats your tour...

Bank Atlantic Center for Ft Lauterdale
St Pete Times forum for Tampa
    Philips Arena for ATL

I knew for a fact that it wasnt going to happen at Bonnaroo, I just wanted to make everyone have high hopes when it wasnt going to hold. As of last week btw, this was almost not happening. Waters wanted the same garauntee for playing amps compared to arenas, thats not feasible when you cut attendance in half. Guess somebody took the plunge anyway. Thus why dates being later in the year instead of end of summer which they were supposed to be looks to be likely due to it being inside. And they need about 6 months to get this production off the ground.

Yeah and your probably right with the Staples Center. I can't see him taking it to either the Sports Arena, where the shows were originally played, or the Forum, they are a little too outdated.

My guess is 2-3 L.A. dates and probably 1-2 Oakland/San Francisco dates.

Also on the site I posted above, they were talking about it not being a physical Wall being built across the stage but rather it being a computer generated 3D Wall. Interesting thought but I think I would much prefer a more accurate representation of the original shows.

Prove it, his ass is touring, and he isnt playing Bonnaroo. This was never meant to hit festivals, period. Got anything to back it up on your end to prove it wrong? Didnt think so.

2006, the Hollywood Bowl show was $350 to sit in the Garden or the Pool and I get stuck paying $250 to sit in the next to last row of the Terrace because I blew my load as soon as I saw terrace and bought them.

The only time the Hollywood Bowl security wasn't hassling ticket holders was that night. For the entire second half of the show I was able to walk down from the back of the terrace and stand at the back of the Pool where I watched the rest of the show. The aisles were pretty much lined with people in the Garden. Most chill night

This is one of those shows that I would be mentally kicking myself in the ass if I missed it. I was a Floyd fan growing up and regretted not seeing them until the 94 tour. Though the songwriting suffered without Waters, the live show was amazing. I have to believe that the importance of this album to Waters will ensure that the live performance has no comprimises( other than missing the rest of the band that made it magical). I hope he pulls it off, and I will surely travel to see this.

There has been so extremely vocal dislike for The Wall expressed on these boards. Maybe that's where the assumption came from.

It is a generalization of course. I just heard that a lot when The Dark Side was announced.

The Wall is my favorite album, but that's based mainly on nostalgia.

My favorite Floyd album, although Wish You Were Here is a VERY close 2nd. And those 2 albums are easily in my Top 10 of all time.

I can't fucking wait. My favorite album is still Wish You Were Here and that's mostly because Shine On is my favorite Floyd song. Time for me to bust out my Shine On Box Set and celebrate in the coming weeks.
