So unfortunately we have a couple of campsites that we won't be using this weekend. Super last minute but if you're interested we got 'em at face value $100 for the weekend. Developed spot with water and electricity. Let me know if anyone wants 'em!

So I'm coming down for my third Coachella and my first time camping at Lake Cahuilla and I noticed on the brouchure (http://www.riversidecountyparks.org/...a-Brochure.pdf) it says the main gate is locked 10pm - 6am. How does that work because it sounds like it could really throw a wrench in driving back to the campground after the last act if you can't get back to your campsite. Thanks!

I actually think last year was one of the more packed years. There are always a couple empty spot from no-shows, but it seemed pretty full! Lots of fun partiers as well. Good times, can't wait for next year!

Reservations are now open to book, as it is 6 months from the day before Coachella 2012. Just booked my site, same spot as last year. Four nights, with hookups (water & electricity), $99. Sites might go faster this year since I think some of the onsite camping sold out during the early presale. Get on it!

Camped at the lake from 03' to 07'. Unbelievable amount of good times! Keep doing what you are doing if you go back every year. Sounds like it is getting back to the old days of 03 04 status. WOWSERS!

I'm about to book today. Whats the difference between a developed site an non developed. Also any prime areas I should look to book? We are renting an RV and coming with DJ equipment and after last years debacle I want to make sure this goes without any hiccups.

Developed means you have a fire pit, electricity and some of them have water. If you have an RV and DJ equipment, make sure you get a developed site. Usually I would say the most important thing in choosing a site would be getting the most shade, but since you have an RV that might not matter. Next would be location, near the lake is nice. Also, try not to be next to a camp host, since you will probably be loud with the DJ equipment. That map on the reservation site shows all of this as well as pictures of each spot. From what I can see that's left, I would suggest site 54.

You are allowed 2 vehicles and 6 people per site. You could probably squeeze a couple more people into a site without them noticing. If you have extra vehicles you need to park them outside the main gate.
