Have you tried calling to reserve an overflow "primitive spot" yet? I would be very surprised if those are already sold out. They are only available by phone. I would hurry though! Also it looks like there might be a couple sites in the equestrian area. It shows them being handicap spots on the sites, but I think they are usually just normal sites. You might want to ask about those also.

Hey, thanks so much for the info. I would go and get a campsite immediately, but I haven't gotten my tickets yet, and I need to figure out if my friends are coming or not

I just wish I could have the same camp site as last year- Lake Cahuilla on the second night of Coachella is where my girlfriend and I first got together, and it would be really special to do it again this year. But, primitive site it is, I guess. I feel like the first weekend is going to be more crackin, all the artists will be performing for the first time, etc.

Also, I wonder if there's anyone who is willing to have a few more campers at their already-reserved site.

We have a RV spot that 5 or so of us will be staying at. From what I've been told is that you can also have a couple of tents on the side of the RV spot, and they won't complain. I have some people that have asked me so far to use those spots, but nothing is set in stone. If anyone is screwed and needs a spot, email me at shytownhavoc@yahoo.com and I'll let you know if I can help ya. (Full warning, we are planning on having DJ Equipment with us.)

I have never biked to the festival from Lake Cahuilla, but I have seen people doing it. If you are okay biking 5 miles in 100 deg. weather, I'm sure it is a reasonable option. The roads are all good, but I'm not sure how bike parking works at the event.. Hope that helps.

Well, we tried for weekend 1 and failed. So had to move our party to weekend 2 oh well. Can anyone direct me to a taxi service or something of that sort that can be used everyday to get back and forth?

My first tip would be to stay until Monday. Second tip, I'm guessing you booked an overflow spot since the rest are full, if your have a tarp or EZ UP canopy, bring it. Shade is very scarce in the overflow area and of course it's hot. Bring swim wear for the pool, Saturday and Sunday morning, it's crucial. Bring quarters for the showers (50 cents for 3 min). Bring firewood, there are fire pits. Thursday night is the biggest party night. Bring ear plugs if you can't sleep to late night DJ's. And unfortunately, there is still no shuttle to the festival. Been hoping/asking for a shuttle for years!

Bonus tip: If you like to fish, you can fish in the lake.

Nice! Those are cools spots! Not much shade, but right next to the lake. There usually are people DJing every night, particularly in the equestrian and overflow area. Shouldn't be too loud by you because there is a camp host spot near you.

We usually need to run to the store to get more ice at least once during the weekend, it's won't last 4 days in the desert. There are no breakfast spots between the campground and the festival, but there are a bunch about 10 minutes away, sort of past the festival.
