Death Grips' statement is pretty comical. Hey everybody we're done because we've archieved everything there is to achieve and we're not going to fulfill the rest of our commitments to perform live but hey we got an album coming out this year so go ahead and buy that.
One old-timey bullshit band done, let's get rid of some more while we're at it!
The Civil Wars have broken up.
it's not exactly a band reunion, nor a rumor, but Fog is returning.
So, this puts Death Cab out for next year . . . Asshole.
Darkside are, apparently, "coming to an end." This sucks. The record hasn't even been out for a year yet, their live show was killer, their remixes kept getting better and better, and it seemed like they were poised to do great things in the future. Hopefully this is just a hiatus and we get some more music from these two in the future.
"Coming to and end, until someone offers us enough money to do it again."
Drive Like Jehu is reuniting playing a free show Aug 31 in San Diego at Balboa Park. ( for all 3 people that care )
Holy shit. I was planning a trip up to the Bay Area that weekend but I'm pretty sure I'm cancelling that now.
Me and my barber were just talking today about our mutual love of that band and how they'll probably never reunite.

Fuck! I have work and am already taking too much time off for FYF... God dammit, one of those bands I've been hoping and wishing would reunite. Please tour

Williams will open the free, one-hour concert at the 2,400-capacity outdoor venue with several solo selections, including "Phantom of the Opera," on the pavilion's massive, 4,500-pipe organ. For the second half of the 7 p.m. performance, she and Drive Like Jehu will perform five songs together."The weird thing is that we (Drive Like Jehu) are playing (again), and that it took something this weird for us to decide to play a couple of songs again," Reis noted. "Only two of us live in San Diego; one lives in New York and one's in Los Angeles. A couple of band members pretty much haven't played music since Jehu (split) or since shortly thereafter. Mark didn't even have a drum set until earlier this year, and he bought one specifically for us to play with the organ. So I'm excited the other guys in the band share my enthusiasm."http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/...ineteen-years/The Aug. 31 concert will be recorded, but not -- Reis stressed -- for commercial purposes.
"Its just a photograph," he said. "I just want to take a snapshot and document the evening, because it will never happen again. It's something I'm very excited about and I'd like something a little better than an iPhone video. Hopefully, we can get an audio capture as well as video. It's only for me. I'm the one who wanted to do that and have something to document it. Nothing to sell or duplicate, just something to have and share, if it comes out OK.
The Knife are done.
"When we finish the tour now in November we will close down, it’s our last tour." "We don’t have any obligations to continue, it should only and always be for fun.
The Knife are breaking up it seems.
Guess I should've seen them at Coachella over that piss poor Outkast set. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
November 18 - Slayer
November 19 - eyehategod
December 4 - Behemoth
January 30 - Behemoth
February 3 - Zola Jesus
February 6 - Sleep
Definitely my favorite set of the weekend. Fingers crossed Karin will focus on Fever Ray!
Coachella - 4.10.15 - 4.12.15 - Empire Polo Grounds
So sad. Thank God I went back up north between the two Coachella weekends and got to see 'Full of Fire' live at least once.
Meh, "We don’t have any obligations to continue, it should only and always be for fun" sounds like a hiatus rather than a break-up.
New music from Fever Ray would be cool, as would new Oni Ayhun.
