This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
And Stephen Egerton. All of a sudden Flag is the more exciting of the two in terms of classic material, but Black Flag is recording a new album, so that's still thrilling as hell.
But the two guitar lineup with Dukowski on bass was the best Black Flag. That's super exciting. I hope like hell that they do Scream. And who knows, when they play LA (they have to play LA...) maybe Rollins will perform with them.
They should really replace Bill Stevenson with Chuck Biscuits and rebuild the rhythm section from super Black Flag circa 82.
You know theyre probably playing FYF
I love how you post that AFTER posting on my comment on FYF's page.
They're as much a lock for FYF as any band has ever been for any festival ever. For some reason everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that Sean got Dukowski and Keith to do a Black Flag-gy set months before Gary Tovar did.
supre got supre'd

My favorite band from 2004 to 2009 dead
I'm beyond sad. RIP MCR.

whoa. didn't see that coming but i guess after the disaster of their last full-length and then the 'leaking' of their shelved album...not surprised.
saw em at the '05 Weenie Roast and my gf at the time did not like. "too much cussing"
When reached for comment, lead singer Gerard Way responded, "I'm not okay"

Ok I thought you were joking till you wrote this...
You should start reviewing every R.E.M. album. R.E.M. was a great band. I really enjoyed Accelerate! By the way, New-Adventures in Hi-Fi and Up are very underated!!! But I guess that's what happens when you make 15 albums and a few masterpieces in your career (over 30 years). Not everything can compare to Murmur, Lifes rich pageant or Automatic, but Accelerate is up there with the other great ones. Why can't U2 break up? Their albums have sucked harder and for much longer.

Relavence is on a person to person basis. MCR has not been relevant to me since middle school/freshman year of high school MAYBE verses REM, Sonic Youth, The White Stripes, LCD Soundsystem, bunch more have all stayed far more or increased as my music taste had changed.
Blanket statements like the "______ since ______" are impossible to defend and argue against.
Some of the opinions here are far worse than dog shit.

They, in no way, have been relevant for the entire past decade. Even your average KROQ listener knows I'm Not Okay and Helena from back in what, '04-'05, and then that concept album came out and everything from it sucked balls. And they never heard another song from them. And that's it.

I mean your argument is wrong. Their music isn't spectacular, but pretty much everyone that listens to modern rock knows who they are. They've gone on massive tours and changed the "emo" scene.
