This sounds pretty cool... “Brass, Bows & Beats Hip-Hop Symphony” (featuring Lyrics Born w/ 40 piece orchestra). Also, I know who the headliner is, and it will actually be pretty impressive.

ok well who is it? you cant just leave us hanging like that haha
it's weird how they lumped together the electronic with the reggae... tipper, ott, mimosa, marty party, etc are probably going to be playing at techno tribal on fri. or sat. night... seperate ticket.
they just announced Lauryn Hill as the Special guest headliner.....
Dweezil would be pretty cool to see.
Fishbone, Zappa Plays Zappa, and Steel Pulse? Looks like a pretty good line up to me.
Yep, Lauryn Hill. Going to be interesting.
since im not doing bonnaroo, and this is close to sacramento, this may be cool to go to..... has anyone gone to this before?
My friend went to this when Bassnectar was there, he said it was a lot of fun. Older, hippie, relaxed kind of crowd.
5/25-5/27: MOVEMENT DETROIT
6/6: The Field @ The Independent
6/26: Colin Stetson @ The Chapel
the day time is really chill. security is lax, i hung out with a bunch of random people. good food, lots to see and do.
at night, it gets sorta rave-y...the ravers see "techno tribal" and come a walkin... but it's not your typical oonz oonz kinda sound...
Solid line up. I'd like to see Lauryn Hill...
I've had fun both times I've gone.
Paul Stamets is one of the guest speakers, sweet! If you've not heard of Paul's work, check him out. He is my favorite living mycologist.
thanks for the infoi.. im gonna go ahead and look into it and it might be a cool weekend to hang out and be a hippie!and i saw lauryn with the fugees back in 96 with the smokin grooves tour and id love to see her come back and do a once in a lifetime set cuz she was so great back then but fell apart.. she is due for a comback.....
She's definitely due... she's been on my mind recently...
Presale cheaper tickets are available now.
I went two years ago for Damien Marley and it was a great fest. Vendors were a bit pricey than normal because of the area. Great mixture of hippies, yuppies, and ravers.
Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, and The Expendables?
This is a Sonoma State frat boy's wet dream.
July 21- Soundgarden- Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
July 30- Rage Against the Machine/Muse- LA Coliseum
Oct 21- Portishead- Berkeley Greek
Nov 18- Pixies- Fox Theater Bakersfield
I'm going for Brass, Bows, & Beats, and Lauryn Hill.
Stupid hippies.
I want to go to this

The Lyrics Born/Chali 2na/Zion I with Orchestra sounds awesome, and Lauryn Hill is tempting. But it could be a train wreck, because she's a psycho.
Ron Paul 2012!
Upcoming Shows:
Four Tet
Coachella 4/20-4/22
Death Cab for Cutie/Magik Magik Orchestra
Radiohead
some other bands
Just... why?
Seeing Slightly Stoopid's name that big makes me loose faith in everything.
Lol. Putting Lauryn Hill at the top line of any poster is only slightly less stupid (omg get it!?) than doing the same with "Amy Winehouse"
Also its a great indicator of how much of her cred and goodwill that she has decimated in the last decade that she's headlining an event like this, lol.
BOOM! Free VIP passes: Secured. I'm looking forward to the Brass, Bows & Beats Hip-Hop Symphony and hitting some wineries while all the other stupid crap is going on.
Just saw Dehli 2 Dublin are playing this. Please check these guys out for me! They are a Vancouver based collaberation project who mix indian music with celtic music. Think tabla drumming with celtric flutes and strings. I have never seen them play live, but their recorded music is great.
Whoa, that's sounds interesting. I'll definitely check them out.
I want to go saturday night.
Thx for the suggestion, Josh. Dehli 2 Dublin were great. Super high energy and a really unique sound. My wife were really impressed with how good they were and she usully doesn't like new music the first time she hears it. She's also Irish, so there was another layer of judgement there. They also did their own versions of Groove Armada's "Superstylin'" and Kid Cudi's "Day & Night", which were fun. All thr original songs were great too. We would definitely see them again.
fri night not so good
