Chyro Arts is Closing

Dammit. I mean, yeah, it is far away from me but it is right next to Papago and I love that place.

They are closing May 16th. The end.

I used to live down the street from Papago... don't remember Chyro Arts. Cool venue?

It is a mixed use venue, often small theatre type stuff, sometimes small shows. Holds a couple hundred people.

It's only been open about three years.

I only actually managed to see one show there, Handsome Furs last summer. That was such a fantastic show and there was talk of Chyro Arts getting some of the shows that would've been at Modified... it is disappointing to see it go down.

There were a couple other shows and plays I wanted to see but didn't make it.

Damn that sucks. Played a show there a couple years ago and the owner(s) was/were really nice to my band and I despite us managing to bring only about 10 people out.
