Thread: Place bets on their closing songs

Default Place bets on their closing songs

12 schillings and a crystal shard says Dirty Projectors will close with Useful Chamber so they can leave "Bitte orca orca bitte" imprinted in everybody's minds.

Grizzly Bear is a toss up between On A Neck, On A Spit and While You Wait For The Others. I'd prefer On A Neck, but I think WYWFTO will be last.

Based on the Yeasayer shows/setlists I've seen I'm assuming they'll close with Wait for the Wintertime but maybe they'll substitute that with a shitty song off Odd Blood to promote the album as much as they can with what little time they got.

Can't wait to hear Velvet, it's the song that introduced me and I'm sure a shitton of other people to them.

Muse will close with Knights of Cydonia, it's been that way their whole tour, I believe. My money (and hopes) are on Thom closing with True Love Waits. He did it in February, and I think the Radiohead-crazed Coachella crowd would love it. And I say Faith No More closes with We Care A Lot.

    only if Del joins them....
Of course Del's gonna be there. He's in all of their biggest hits... I would be very upset if he wasn't.

Here's my guesses, either what seems logical (save the best/most popular for last) or what I hope for.

Jay-Z - probably 99 Problems or Big Pimpin', I WANT Blue Magic though.
Them Crooked Vultures - Spinning in Daffodils.
Muse - Knights of Cydonia or Time is Running Out.
LCD Soundsystem - Someone Great/NY I Love You but You're Bringing Me Down.
Faith No More - Epic or Midlife Crisis.
Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood, El Manana.
    Thom Yorke - The Clock.
    MGMT - Kids.

There's no way that Faith No More will close with Epic or We Care A Lot, that's too obvious. They've been ending all of their festival slots with Just A Man.

Dillinger Escape Plan will close with Sunshine The Werewolf, or at least I'm hoping they do haha.

Anybody remember when the Automator played Clint Eastwood at Coach back in 2002 (I think that's the year?). That was an awesome moment.

Since Prince covered "Creep" and then prevented anyone from posting videos of it..
I think Thom Yorke should close with "When Doves Cry"
...and then release it as a free single.

You can find videos of the performance all over youtube. Radiohead told him it's their shit and to let fans post it.

I doesn't change the fact that he prevented it to begin with. It wasn't until June of that year the videos were allowed to appear on youtube.

Hopefully Gorillaz closes with "Every Planet We Reach Is Dead" in tribute to Ike Turner, that would be wonderful.
