Default Massive Attack - Which Performance Would Be Better?

If MA is playing their own show in a small outdoor venue in Vancouver (closer to where I live), but I already have a ticket to see them at Sasquatch, should I still see MA at the Gorge, or at a more intimate venue?

In other words, are a band's own shows better than festival performances in general? Do setlists change all that much, under the condition that the band headlines both? This probably varies from band to band, but I'm asking since I don't attend nearly as many shows as some of the board members here.

    Thanks for any advice!

How much is the ticket for the smaller venue show and how much do you want to see the other bands playing Sasquatch?

don't post massive attack questions in the lineup section. i have high blood pressure as it is.
At some point in time a man switches from "I'll have what he's having" to "I'll have what I'm having."

Oh man, it's literally the same price as a Sasquatch ticket and you get the rest of Sunday, which happens to be spectacular. As the headliner they'll get a full set anyway.

Thanks so much for posting replies!

That really sorts it all out: more for your money by going to Sasquatch! And there shouldn't be much difference in setlists or set duration.

I was in the middle of writing a reply to your other post, but I see you found out already. Way to be diligent.
    Honestly, thank you thank you!

Must have been the festival vibe? Just being in that environment.

Go to both if you can. Massive Attack is incredible live and worth seeing a few times. I saw them in Berkeley a few years ago, and already have my tickets to see them in SF in May.

MA is definitely one of my most anticipated acts at Sasquatch. I was actually really surprised to see them added to the lineup. Can't wait!

THIS DOES NOT PERTAIN TO THE COACHELLA LINEUP.

    But... go to Sasquatch.

The Gorge is one of the greatest venues ANYWHERE. They may get a slightly shorter set at Sasquatch, but it will be so amazing in that setting.

The setting is astounding, from what I've seen from pictures. Really have to keep in mind how lucky we are for where we live - not too far from the Gorge. And... it's either the Gorge, or seeing them play in a forest:

^that looks pretty cool too. reminds me of mcmenamins edgefield.

the greatest thing about the gorge is the view of the stage from the lower level. when you go down all the way, you're still above the stage, so you can see really well from anywhere.

Perhaps, but I was just reassuring myself that I would get a response from a variety of personalities, since this is an important decision that needs to be made; and with more replies, I can consider more of what may not have crossed my mind in making the decision.
Massive Attack seldom makes a tour of North America, so seeing them where and when we can is a privilege.

And I'm not that tall, so that will help with trying to see over another person's head and/or shoulder while being blinded by the pulsing LED's.
