Friday is pretty clearly THE Sahara Tent day to beat this year.

Aeroplane, Proxy, Wolfgang Gartner, and Erol Alkan are probably going to shred our faces off before a brief Fever Ray breather, upon the conclusion of which I'll return to the Sahara to see what kind of shit Deadmau5 is punishing people with.

This thread serves as a place to declare your intentions to spend a big part of your Friday in the Sahara getting totally sick and, in some cases, blowing the fuck up.

I want to see exactly all the artists you previously stated, but TCV and LCD Soundsystem are going to keep me busy @ the Main Stage. I hope I can catch Proxy or Erol at least.

Depends on the set times. I saw them in 2007 and loved them in the tent. I think playing the mainstage hurts their danceability and therefore my need to see them.

I really liked Erol's EM, but frankly I haven't found anything else he did to be that interesting. Too fruity. But then again, you like Aeroplane.

You know, I don't consider myself to completely suck shit, and the last two times I've seen Benassi spin he fucking tore the house down. Now, that being said, I would never listen to anything Benassi-related at home or in my car. But I'm pretty sure he won't totally bum people out.

Did you check out his set in 08? I thought it was really different than the recorded sets I have heard from him, and that it was also waaay different than any other DJ that weekend.

I'll take your word for it / give him the benefit of the doubt. Guess I'm just naturally resentful towards 'top-tier' DJs since their true skill/talent seems to be lost in translation upon recording, which makes it frustrating to listen to unless it's live.

Ive seen him twice, once at edc, which sucked. Then at the vanguard in front of 2000 people and he impressed the hell out of me. I have a feeling his coachella set will be anthems and chessy remixes though.

That's all i want to see too, that and benny are the only 2 acts in the Sahara friday i think i would miss for Jay-Z. Benny might actually throw down a killer set, but been there done that.

I love Deadmaufive and yet I completely agree with this. Jigga is phenomenal live. Deadmaufive will play HARD or Monster Massive or EDC or some other festival that I'll be able to catch him at. Jigga in all his glory should never be taken for granted.
