Well, my curiosity is piqued. With the names mentioned so far, it sounds like a move in the right direction for Phoenix festivals at least.
Hold Steady tickets purchased!
This lineup is much more than what I've come to expect from AZ promoters who have no idea how to curate a large, halfway decent, multi-day festival. At least it isn't another throwaway nostalgia 90's fest like Liquid Sol turned out to be. It gives me hope for the future.

I keep hearing about this band And More! but I can't find them on Spotify.
And More! better be awesome or I'm staying home.
Also, I don't know who Capital Cities are, but their picture makes me hate them.
Capital Cities are SO MUCH FUN. But you would probably hate them because you hate fun. They sound kind of like MGMT, but with a trumpet. Not my usual kind of music, but they bring the energy live.
I am contemplating buying a Sunday pass because Foster the People are actually pretty great and the Violent Femmes really impressed me last year at Coachella.
The "and more" won't be that exciting.
The fun that most people have is banal tripe. Amusement for the easily amused. Shiny things for the infantile. A great void, a yawning chasm of unintelligent content that the unlearned and unwashed find enthralling. You see, most people like fun, and I don't like most people.
It's an accurate comparison. "Kids" and "Safe and Sound" share a similar bassline and song structure. That being said, Capital Cities are leaps and bounds ahead of MGMT in a live context.

Did anybody else already buy their Summer Ends tickets? The only options online were for will-call or print-at-home. Being that I prefer hard tickets, I drove out to Zia, and the purchase counted towards Zia points that helped me offset a bit of what I spent on CDs while I was there.
Was given a ticket to Damien Jurado at the Crescent this Saturday. Has anyone ever seen him? Only heard any of his stuff for the first time the other night.
