Also, two shows in a night? That tells me short setlists. He aint gonna be playing two two-hour back to back sets.
He does the two shows a night thing quite a bit when it comes to the smaller venues. If history is is any barometer the earlier shows tend to be more traditional and the later shows can be more on the free form, don't expect anything you know, I might turn off all the lights and play a bunch of jazz in the dark, type shows.

I agree about the Marquee being a dingy choice. I would think Celebrity Theater. Pretty crazy that this is at least something being mentioned by more than one source so at the very least it's in the works. Fuck this is going to be costly but I have to try and get a ticket. I think I would go with a late show too.

Well, here is a review of a two show night and it sounds like time wise you are right. 70-80 minute sets.

Is anyone going to the McDowell Mountain Music Festival this weekend? I'm going to try and scalp a ticket for Saturday at the fest. I'm hoping that there will be people dumping their tickets for less than face.

OK that sux. Posting it here, because I live here.

Sharing a Safari Tent with my Safari Tent neighbors from last year, as we got along so well last year. Weekend 1. Just ended it with my girlfriend so now going solo, but have an extra Safari ticket.

I went to see the Flaming Lips in '09 and I couldn't find anyone scalping in the area. Then right at the front gate some guy comes up to me and asks if I have a ticket and gives me 1 for free! I'm not saying thats gonna happen. I'm just saying that in my experience, you are more likely to get a free ticket than you are to find a scalper.

That's basically what happened to two of my friends when I went in 2009. I'm willing to pay, just not the $50-or-so dollars face value. But free is even better!

I'm going to MMMF. I'm volunteering @ the merch booth from 11 to 4. I'll barely have enough time to find a spot for Duo de Twang.

That's really the only reason I'm going...well, to see Heartless Bastards too. And I'm somewhat interested in checking out Deer Tick. Plus, Deschutes is sponsoring the fest and they will be serving Black Butte Porter, Red Chair, Mirror Pond, and Chainbreaker at the fest, so that's a bonus for me!

Deshutes just did a colaboration with Mother Road up in Flagstaff; a bourbon barrel aged stout that is off the hook. Love Deschutes! Just had an Abyss 2012 over the weekend.

I was given a MMMF ticket for Sunday, but I can't attend that day. If anyone is willing to trade a Sunday ticket for a Saturday ticket let me know.

Are you going to Flanny's tomorrow night? They are having a Deschutes Tap Takeover and MMMF kickoff. There is supposed to be a bunch of Abyss releases from past years and they are pouring the collaboration brew with Mother Road. Oh, and they are giving away MMMF tickets. I don't know what kind of contest they are having for the tickets, though. I wanted to check it out since I live pretty close, but I don't know if I will have time.

I need 2 Sunday tickets. I just don't have Saturday tickets to trade. I was planning to just walk up to the venue Sunday morning and find someone that might have some and buy them.

I not going to make the Flanny's event. Got my kids tonight. If I didn't I'd be there. I've made it to about half of there tap takeovers. I'm there a lot, and know the owners fairly well. The Flannigan's, John and John Jr., are great guys.

I live about 3 miles west of there on Elliot. I've been to Flanny's once, but never for a tap takeover night. I'm going to try my best to make it tonight but I highly doubt it. The owners of Flanny's are really involved with the AZ Society of Homebrewers.

A friend of mine told me he heard Stateside will have a huge show announcement on Monday and it will be the biggest band they've ever booked. He didn't give (or have) any more details. I would assume it's Prince and Stateside booked the shows in conjunction with Luckyman.
    4/9 - Sleigh Bells (Crescent Ballroom); 4/11-13 - Coachella Weekend 1; 4/15 - Neutral Milk Hotel (Crescent Ballroom); 4/17 - Lorde (Comerica Theatre); 4/21 - CHVRCHES (Marquee Theatre); 5/10 - Morrissey (LA Sports Arena);8/1-3 - Lollapalooza
