The good news is that we finally have all local shows on 620 with Doug & Wolf in the morning, Bickley and Marotta midday and Burns and Gambo in the afternoon. We are finally free of Colin Cowherd and Mike & Mike.
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.

For my morning drive, I only get Dan Patrick for part of the year. Right now it's Jay Mohr and that show kind of sucks.

Oh, ok, you must go in later than I do. I agree, Jay Mohr is obnoxious.

I'm mostly Mike & Mike and they're usually ok except I still have yet to figure out why I should give a shit what Greenberg has to say and Golic has turned into a parody of his old self.

If you want to save $10 on fees for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs ticket, purchase it from their website and not Lucky Man.

ummm their website redirects me to luckyman to purchase the ticket. $35 becomes $50.

The general on sale started today so YYYs probably stopped selling tickets through their site.

Where is everybody for Pearl Jam? I thought there'd be GA floor & was too busy last week to take a look at the site before the on-sale. Used my app while riding the Greyhound into NYC and got kind of hosed: section 121, row R, seats 2-3. Kind of annoying for $170+. At least I'm optimistic that the show's going to be great.

I got section 109 Row D. Not floor but a close enough seat. In fact I would rather it be a seat considering they play long sets.

Yeah, seats are cool. Really valued them at New Order on Friday night. I just know that sometimes the energy of being in the thick of a crowd can really enhance the concert-going experience. Tevs.

GA floor tickets for Pearl Jam were only available through the Ten Club. I'm actually surprised they already started selling rear stage lower level tickets when it appears there are still plenty of seats available in the upper level.

I agree with this as well. I've actually moved from balcony to anywhere closer mid show more than once for the better energy (Not easy when tickets are assigned but possible sometimes). Seats can really kill a vibe at shows.

Footsteps, what are rear stage floor seats? Does that mean what it sounds like? On the floor watching the show with the bands back to you?

Not on the floor, in the lower level seats (sections 104-108 at Jobing), but you're right about everything else. It looks like the ones they're selling now are the corner sections, so just partially behind the stage. I've had those seats before for PJ (LA 1 in 2006 and MSG 1 in 2008) and they're actually not that bad. The band usually turns around plays a song to those seats (most of the time it's Last Kiss). Like I said, though, I'm surprised they're even selling those seats right now since last time I checked there were still upper level tickets available.

Maybe this should be its own thread since it's in Winslow, Arizona? Either way. A Saturday night up north sure sounds fun.

09-21 Winslow, AZ - La Posada
Located 35 miles from James Turrell’s Roden Crater, Winslow exists as an underground art community that was created through the passage of the rails and Route 66. The La Posada, built by the Santa Fe Railway, will feature performances by Cat Power, Cold Cave, Giorgio Moroder, THEESatisfaction, and others to be announced.
Ed Ruscha gave Station to Station a recipe for a cactus omelet, and Chef Leif Hedendal will prepare the omelet for 200 people. This edible artwork will be served only in Winslow, and the recipe itself will be used to make a poster.

They had me at Cat Power. Cold Cave & Giorgio Moroder only sweeten the deal. Was supposed to be out of town, too, but I can't miss Cat Power again.

Considering enough to buy a ticket today. Are you thinking hotel or drive back? I see it ends fairly early. They say 5pm-10pm.

wait. does this mean the others (Beck, Handsome Family, No Age, etc) are NOT playing the Winslow stop? Because if they are I am so there.
