Lucky you!
yeah, I can see how that could be awkward, the best thing to do is just wing it by checking out some songs from them asap.
DJ Qbert was my first coachella set, before RATM and Tool. My friend suggested to go w/ him to that. I remember that slow scratch was moving the alcohol in my stomach. Great times.

Who is going to Metric tomorrow night?
Yeah, I almost don't want to go anymore. I'm exhausted, in pain and have a mid term to study for that i'm taking on Thursday night. fml
I'm not sure i'm going to make it. I'm on the fence and leaning towards not going but we will see. If I can get laundry, studying and the new cat situated i'll probably show up around 9:30.
Nevermind, I think i'm going to go. I hear they should start around 8:45 and be done around 10:15 so give or take 15 on that. I also hear they play Empty and Monster Hospital so i'm sold. I'll be there. Sythetica had me less than excited. The album doesn't do a whole lot for me but we'll see how it goes live.
It is not sold out.
I was talking to my co worker who works there and apparently they are about to expand from 1500 person venue to 2500 and it sounds like a terrible idea as the expansion is mainly taking place outside the main room. It's due to be complete next month as they have sold 2500 tickets for Green Day and one other show.
Was nowhere close to crowded last night for the Hives, who nevertheless killed it. Jen commented this morning that it was the first show she'd been to in ages where she didn't ever get bored. How could anybody get bored during a Hives show? The only downtime during the set was between songs -- no ballads or slow songs. Just balls to the wall rock 'n roll. They reminded me a bit of CSS in that their energy is so goddamn infectious that you can't help but have a good time. So glad we made the decision to go with that show instead of the Black Keys.
Good call. I'm not a big fan of the Hives but they are definitely a fun time live and as you say it's all straight ahead rock minus the bullshit. I definitely would have chosen the Hives over the Keys in a basketball arena.
Anyone going to Titus Andronicus at the Sail Inn? Tuesday Nov. 6th. Imma be there.

I'm going to Matthew Dear/Light Asylum at the RR on the 29th and Japandroids on the 7th. Traveling a lot around those dates too so Titus might not happen for me.
Hmmm. Forgot Japandroids were playing on the 7th. Might try to stick around for that as well.
