Did this show get cancelled? If not, I want to go, but I can't find it anymore. I really like that band; they sound a lot like Phoenix/Air.

Polica last night at the Rhythm Room was great. I didn't pick up on it while listening to the album, but they have a very 90s trip hop vibe. Their bass player is quite good. He played a lot of cool stuff in between the chord structure of the songs. Reminded me of Jaco without all the 16th note rhythms. Singer was on-point. They had a good crowd too. Not packed, but full. They played the entire album with a new song. Then the crowd got them back for an encore that was entirely new songs since they didn't have anything else. There was a little too much treble in the FOH mix and the speakers were distorting at moments. Their clean sound would have been much better at the Crescent. I would definitely check them out again.
Couple other shows I saw listed at the RR:
3/11/12 - Teen Velvet/Sayd the Whale/AU
3/13/12 - Peter Case & Paul Collins
Case's past solo stuff was mostly blues, but I've heard this tour is going to be songs from The Nerve, The Beat, and The Plimsouls. And I'll be at the Grimes/Born Gold show on Monday night if anyone else is going down there.
Malkmus & The Jicks tomorrow, can't wait!
The Aquabats - April 27th - The Nile

northside groove...southside groove....eastside groove...westside groove
Grimes put on a pretty solid show tonight, despite the technical problems with her new monitor. I think she blew out her ear drum
Cloud Nothings tomorrow!
Cursive played a fucking great set. Tons of old stuff, and the new stuff was pretty decent live. I love Crescent so much. Can't wait for Cloud Nothings tomorrow.
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
Grimes/BG was awful.
BG is now only 2 original members with a new guy. Their show is all sampled/abletron now and they cut back a lot of the interaction stuff although some of it is still there. It's more gimmicky now with Cecil controlling the show from an Ipad with a motion censor and a sampler inserted into his jacket. What made it bad was all their new material is bass heavy 808 crap probably made for the Skrilly kids. Only two songs from their album in the entire set. One of my favorite live acts is now done.
Grimes sounded awful although that was the RR FOH guy and not her fault. There was a constant stream of loud high-end static from the PA the entire show. She had problems with her monitors and stop the show a few times. The JBLs kept distorting as usual. She played all new material except Vanessa. Oh, she also blew up since her last visit in Oct. I didn't realize the new album was getting that much attention. The place was packed with girls copying her style and bros. Lots of bros who probably don't realize they are bros. There was a fucking mosh pit at Grimes. It's little 18-19 year old Claire playing 80s dance music and the bros felt the need to mosh the entire show. Albeit it wasn't anything crazy like a Slayer pit (more like a hipster/bro pit that included a dude in a scarf and mittens), but it annoyed almost everyone. At one point there was a fight among the bros. A few got kicked out. At the end of the show there were at least four cop cars outside and a firetruck to deal with all the fucktards. Did I mention this was at Grimes. WTF is wrong with people? I though all the dbags kicked it in Scottsdale.
Holy shit, that sounds simultaneously hilarious and atrocious. That was at the Rhythm Room again, right, Timestretch? Yeah, she's gotten a considerably bigger profile since opening for Austra. Sorry to hear the crowd & sound guy ruined it.
Ah yes..the unchill brosThat was my first show at the RR and so I take it it's not always that crowded?
