The right (or wrong) side of oblivion. I was in the sectioned area of GA, pretty far back on the right. That was probably my downfall, it just kept getting more and more crowded, song by song. People would go get beer, comeback and crowd our little area. IT WAS FREAKIN' ME OUT, MAN.

BACK IN THE STUDIO
Ghostland Observatory is back in the studio as of January to work on finishing up composition on material for a new full-length. Recording will begin in February with a likely summer-time release.
Thomas and Aaron report having a ton of fun with the new songs and we?re really excited about the demos we?ve been hearing and think fans are in for a surprise treat.

That was a fun night. If GO make a stop in SD and it's a reasonable price then I'll probably go considering there will be new material. I think I saw them something like 5 times with the same show - minus the Prince covers at the soco $5 event which was probably the best $5 show EVER.

Yep, that's what i'm waiting on. I already have my Joanna Newsom ticket. I keep getting updates from The Rialto and looking but still no Calexico.

Calexico just played the anti SB1070 show this past weekend at the Marquee in Tempe and it was apparently a very short set. They started at 11:15PM and played to 12:30am. I've never heard of such a short set from these guys outside of a festival and they were the headliners. I wonder if something went wrong.

Have a little faith in the Gribbz. My buddy told me about the Joanna Newsom show about a month before they announced it. Rialto is weird in that regard.

According to the Rialto box office, they will be announcing the Calexico show today, they are finalizing a few details so tickets should go on sale within the week I would guess.
