The booking may be weak, and it may be LiveNation's bitch now, but have never seen a bad show, or had an unenjoyable experience at the Fillmore. And if the show sold decent enough they hand you a free poster on the way out... Come on, what other venue does that?
Nothing but love for The Fillmore SF. Every show I've been to in the couple of years that I have lived in this great city have been fun. The greeter that welcomes you at the top of the stairs upon entry and says "goodnight" as you leave garners lots of style points in my book. Posters are just the icing on the cake. Also, at least in the dozen or so shows that I have seen there, there is always a moment of recognition for the venue and those that have played before them from the artists on stage. Living legend.
Just added:
05/02 - Wanderlust at the Fillmore
05/26 - OK Go
06/02 - Enrique Bunbury
I maintain my case that their booker blows.

Cool venue, have had some good times there. Its always nice going up those stairs and being greeted before you walk into the main room...
The Fillmore will always be the CLASSIC concert venue for me in San Francisco.
But I got to had it to the Fox, that place IS the hottest venue in the bay area right now. Granted the sound is no where close to as good as the Warfield.
But still, in the end, my heart belongs to THE Fillmore!!!
Up coming shows: Furthur Festival, 50 Cent, Tom Petty, Harmony Fest, U2, Erykah Badu, Steve Martin, Goldfrapp, Black Crowes, Lilith Fair, Steve Miller Band, Dodos and New Pornographers, James Taylor, Dead Weather, Jackson Browne, Phish, Outside Lands, DMB, Jack Johnson, Ray L and David Gray,Willie Nelson, Band of Horses, Jimmy Buffett + More
So very very excited for La Roux and LCD Soundsystem at the Fillmore... my second-favorite venue. Everything is amazing there! However I do agree about them becoming LiveNation's bitch... fucking ticketmaster! Luckily I live within walking distance now so that's a problem solved. The Little Boots/Dragonette show was soooo great!
I have seen soooo many amazing shows there over the years, I can't even name them all probably! Blondie, Television (!!!!), Frank Black, Cut Copy, Chromeo, Decemberists... ahhh, all so delightful.

I wouldnt be surprised if they added a second show with them having a three days off beforehand and one day off after and their next show being in LA. Either that or they will be back for TI Fest
