A couple of years ago, I broke my ankle weeks after buying floor tickets. Still in a boot and on crutches by the time the show rolled around, I crutched my way in and stayed in GA as long as my armpits could bear it, but eventually I sought solace in a stadium seat. Alas, the lady staffing the back of the pit kindly informed me they could not grant such a request (and by "kindly," I mean she told me "you should have thought about that when you bought a standing-room-only ticket").

Combine that with the $12 bud lights, and you'll find me hard pressed to even consider stepping foot in Oracle again, for any reason. I fucking hate that place.

Hey buttheads, this is a big deal. They pretty much capsized a few years ago, but when I caught them in 2005 they were incredible, very loud, jammy and super psyched out. Seriously, everyone should go to this.

AND it is right across the street from Stranded, so you can buy some sick records beforehand.

That's sick Comets on Fire are playing together again. I would love to attend but will be in Australia.

For those of you that have the willcall app, they just announced a pop up show at Rickshaw for this Thursday, with a secret guest headliner. The font they chose to write secret show with looks really familiar to me, but i can't quite put my finger on it, does anyone know which bands use that font? I know it might not even be related to the band that is playing, but it's just been bugging me.

It's also on their FB page: https://www.facebook.com/WillCall

Still doesn't resolve the nagging feelign that i've seen that font in connection with another artist before though.

Normally I cannot be brought to give two fucks about David Crosby, but that LP is excellent and I would be interested to hear him play some of those tracks live.

the cut chemist show is billed as a pretty lights after party, so it is likely to be pretty late.

Yeah. They did a really sexy remix of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" that's made the rounds. They do disco edits/spaced out house. Monarch + them on NYE is guaranteed to be a slopfest.

Looks like the NYE party at Mighty is Blond:ish + Pink Mammoth
