For a headliner, maybe 15 songs or so...non-headliner, under 10, usually around 7-8 songs or so...less than that for opening bands.

    Metric 8:40PM – 9:10PM
    The Shins 9:30PM – 10:15PM
    Jack White 10:45PM – 11:45PM

    Imagine Dragons 5:50PM – 6:20PM
    Grouplove 6:40PM – 7:10PM

Does their inclusion in NSSN mean Arcade Fire is now out of any OSL-headliner discussion?

Don't think they'd headline again so soon.

I didn't think they would, but there was some discussion of it by others.

I think it's too soon, but they're at the point where they're having repeats...just not repeat headliners.

Great. Verlaine had some difficulty with getting his guitar tuned correctly, though. But yeah, it was a really spot on show, especially when they jammed out.

You know, I was thinking about that last night -- I thought his voice sounded fine, but he had an unique / not very strong voice to begin with 40 years ago.

The Eagles keep adding dates...they now have 1/28 in Sac and 1/29 and 1/31 at SAP Center.

They're doing extended stays at places like MSG and the Forum, so I expect there'll be a few more dates added, perhaps at Oracle early February.....Oracle has the first three days open and the Sharks are playing at home 2/1 and 2/3.

-The show will begin with a complete performance of Croz and after an intermission he'll delve his his deep catalog, though he's a little unsure about reviving any Byrds songs. "That's reaching pretty far back," he says. "I won't do that unless there's a song that really thrills us, and there's a couple [Byrds songs] that might work. It's really about the song. It's not about trying to evenly distribute it all through my career or anything like that. We wanna do stuff that excites us."

-Material from the Crosby, Stills, Nash (and sometimes Young) catalog will definitely make the final cut. "We're gonna veer towards stuff like 'Long Time Gone' and 'Deja Vu,'" he says. "I can see us taking 'Deja Vu' and really stretching it out. That would really suit this band. I just want to make it a little longer and more complex. People expect me to play 'Almost Cut My Hair,' and so I'm not gonna play it."

-Crosby is most excited about reviving songs from his 1971 LP If I Could Only Remember My Name, his most beloved solo work which featured contributions from Jerry Garcia, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Grace Slick and many others. "I'm very tempted to play 'Laughing,' 'Tamalpais High,' 'Cowboy Movie' and 'Music Is Love,'" he says. "Some things on that record are pretty un-performable, like the ending song ['I'd Swear There Was Somebody Here']. I don't imagine anybody can perform that, least of all me."

I heard he had some serious vocal problems the last time he toured... maybe just a temporary medical thing?

I saw Crosby, Stills and Nash about a year ago and he sounded absolutely incredible. He completely blew the other two out of the water vocally. How was he sounding at the Bridge School benefit?
