I got confirmation that tickets can be picked up by others following the standard gamh policy. I might try to switch to the tuesday show. if anyone wants two tickets to the monday show let me know.

Thanks for posting about that. Definitely going to that show.

So they aren't allowing backpacks or big bags for Bay to Breakers this year? Those jackassess in Boston really screwed this up for everybody.

I might have to get completely unfashionable and buy a fannie pack or a man purse in order to carry my drinks and stuff.

Or get a costume where you can easily hide a backpack underneath, like a Ninja Turtle.

Good call. I think I'm going with a drunk Pope costume so hopefully I can work something out within the flowing robe that I'm going to be wearing.

Intellicast shows it will be 70 and sunny on Sunday. Lets hope they are right. If we can get the same weather as last year that would be perfect.

For those of you wondering about The Chapel. It's a great venue. Sound is good as long as you stick to the main floor of the concert hall. Once you go into the balcony, sound gets super muffled. You can see into the concert hall from part of the big bar at the entrance. There's another bar at the back of the concert hall and in the balcony. Drink prices vary at each bar. Outside of the concert hall there's a bunch of tables and chairs to lounge. The concert hall has a couple of tall tables and tall chairs along the side walls on the main floor. The balcony also has a couple of tables and chairs. The venue can get a little stuffy for sold out shows. If street parking is hard to come by, there is a garage off 21st and Valencia.

I'd asked this same question a few pages back. MGMT plays in Stanford on Saturday night and then their next date in June 20. So MGMT makes sense.

It's not MGMT or Vampire Weekend. One of the Live 105 DJs said the same band will be a surprise act KROQ's Weenie Roast on Saturday. Therefore it's not any band on the Weenie Roast lineup or playing in the Bay Area on Saturday. Live 105 will be announcing who it is at 9 pm on Saturday.

My guess is Queens Of The Stone Age. They've been on a promotional blitz and just announced that Wiltern show in L.A. next week that sold out instantly.
