I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have a ticket for Wednesday's James Blake show at Mezzanine that they'd like to trade for tonight's? I was going to try to go after another show tonight, but despite being at Mezzanine, it's going to be done by midnight.

Mezzanine's facebook event said it ends at 12AM, so I called the box office today - he goes on at 10:30pm.

A few James Blake tickets were released via the Will Call app today. $35.

EDIT: oh, you were looking for a trade. Sorry. :/
EDIT 2: They're sold out now.

So, what's the deal with that app on Android? It sure runs buggy. Do they charge a service fee...spill, please.

Everything I've tried works fine on the iPhone, but to be honest, I've never bought anything off the app. I like that they announce last minute tickets, but they haven't yet had anything I want or don't already have tickets to.

Wow. And, just last week I was able to score a ticket for the Nick Cave show in front of the Civic for $20 (of course, for a friend...I was the idiot who bought mine when it went on sale. Was still way worth it, thankfully). We should keep an eye on this and see if the tides are turning for the scalpers.

They're already up to $35 but I'm still thinking about it. That was the only act from the web cast that I really regretted not seeing....

So many good shows to choose from last night; I went with Sigur Rós. It was so amazingly powerful and intense that three people literally passed out in front of me, and a fourth curled up on the ground in the fetal position.

    Great show!

Sigur Ros was fantastic last night. I ended up leaving right as the encore was starting to try to catch an hour of James Blake... BART delays meant I only got to see 30 minutes, but I'm still glad I tried to catch some rather than skipping it.

While in the restroom at the Fox, I was thinking I had never seen someplace that reeked so badly of vomit while still being so clean. LOL. I think there were a lot of people having a rough time at that show.

Good to hear (going tonite)...but why the "rough time" for some you reckon?

Sigur Ros were amazing in every way. Fox was the best venue for them and they were just great. 2 hours of music went by like that.

I have an extra ticket to the Phish Friday 08/02 show. After TM fees, it came out to $75.45. Hit me up if you're interested.

Btw, Beach House were pretty great at The Fillmore last night. They were a bit more energetic than the last time I saw them and the set list was just incredible. They played a song off of Devotion (of course, I don't know the name of it "You Came to Me" maybe) that they said they hadn't played in four years. Sure someone will know, but it was lovely. My only criticism is that they still continue to shoot their wad by playing all their best songs prior to the encore. As it was, they ended on Irene, which just falls flat, imo. "On the Sea" was my favorite of the new jams and Alex's guitar work just keeps getting better. Good shit.

Overindulging, I'd imagine? Well behaved crowd, though, as you'd expect.

As for the 3 people I witnessed lose consciousness and get dragged out by friends/good samaritans, I don't know. Just very drunk and high, perhaps, and were overwhelmed?

The fourth person I saw (curled up in fetal position) was in a group of four people that were very obviously rolling HARD. He probably got dizzy/nauseous and just needed the stability of the floor and some escape from the lights. He got back up after about 5 minutes and proceeded to rejoin the rub-fest with his other friends. It was pretty hot/disturbing how intensely those four were feelin' each other up... one guy next to us just stared at them an entire song.

tl;dr: people were too fucked up for their own good and didn't expect the intensity Sigur Rós brought last night.

Did the Fox show end up selling out?

I got tix to the Bill Graham show early on, and decided to just stick with it.
