I just watched them on the KROQ webcast and I liked it. This lineup needed some rock and a band with a hit filled catalog. I think it'll add some energy to that stage. I know this really isn't an STP crowd in this forum, but I think they'll go over well tomorrow.

The STP+ Chester combo seemed weird, though I only heard the last song. DJ Shadow ruled, Diplo was Diplo, in a positive way, pleasantly surprised with the 30 Sec. to Mars /Passion Pit set time change so that Passion Pit could close with a big dance party, but the biggest highlight of the day for me were C2C!

C2C definitely rocked the subsonic tent last night. Good lordy they are amazing.

Live 105 is saying that BFD was the highest attended event in the history of Shoreline Amphitheatre. I know it was sold out, but many other events there have been sold out, too. I wonder if they were allowed to sell more tix because they had the second stage area and dance tent...
Is anyone interested in seeing Boris with me tonight at the Rickshaw? Some well orchastrated experimental Japanese metal? Good way to wrap up your boring Tuesday evening... and they have a frikken GONG!
As a man of nearly 30 I'm too old to go to Pop Scene under pretty much any circumstance, correct? There is a band playing in July that I'd really like see, but last time I went was probably seven or eight years ago and I felt too old then. Has anyone been to see a band there since it moved to the Rickshaw? Is it as bad as I imagine it is?

I went a Rickshaw for Popscene a couple years ago for the Hood Internet. It was as crowded as popscene ever is/was with SF hipsters, but I didn't feel as old as I do at BFD, Spookfest, etc. I know its still an 18+ club but if there's a band that you're interested in an into, go! I wouldn't let the popscene age deter you from seeing a band or artist.
I went more often in the 330 Rich days while I was living in SF and going to State, and I'll still say that popscene had the best girl:guy ratio of any club or club night I've ever been to.

Well, I'm married so I'm not really worried about the girl to guy ratio, but it's heartening to hear that I won't necessarily feel like an old man in a sea of shit faced 18 year olds.

I know no one gives a s**t but Bjork just came into my bookstore (I work in Marin) and it was rather magical.
Also depends who you see. Flume was crowded and pretty awful. Alt J was the exact opposite and skewed older
6/14: Actress (live), Falty DL (live) @ 1015 Folsom
Did you exchange any words with Bjork??? Wow that does sound magical.
You're not too old to go to Popscene unless you decide you're too old. I haven't been to one of their shows for a long while, but I don't remember the crowds being that young really.
Is anyone else going to Bjork tomorrow night?
Pissed I will be away when this is happening... I would brave 1015 for it.
Let me just say that Holy Ghost was the fuckin party last night! Didn't realize these guys were so talented live. And their new material is amazing as well. Definitely a must see again.
Hoping for Treasure Island!
Also, Classixx were great openers. Very talented dudes doing the live sampling and playing some guitar as well. Great show!
Have they become more animated on stage? Because they were an embarrassing snooze fest when they opened up for LCD Soundsytem a few years ago.
