yeah. we were smart enough to get out a little early too. (only missed two songs in the end.) but the way there was a nightmare. got in line for the shuttle at 7.30, on the shuttle 15 mins later, abandoned the shuttle and headed out on foot 1 hour after that, ended up arriving 10 minutes later right as Paul went on stage. if we'd stayed in the shuttle we probably would have missed a whole hour. I felt so bad for the people in cars driving in. I read that some of them never even made it in. ridiculous.

the cover of San Francisco Bay Blues was also unique last night.

it was great last night, but overall left me appreciating seeing him at OSL so much more. fuck, the view from stadium seats is always so much worse than I imagine when I look at the seating chart. while sat in crappy plastic chairs, with part of the section above us obscuring the very top of one of the screens and the smell of fried food wafting in from the concessions stands behind us, I longed to be standing in a field in golden gate park surrounded by friends.

still, I'm glad I got to see him again, and very grateful that we didn't miss the start of the show like so many must have. I'd be pretty pissed off if I had shelled out all that money for tickets just to sit in traffic.

so he did. I guess it is unique to san francisco shows, in recent past at least.

Awesome show last night, my third time seeing Macca. Was a joy to go with my mom who was at the final Beatles show at Candlestick in '66. Kinda bummed that all the San Francisco/Candlestick themed merch was sold out by the time we got inside at 7:30 (at least at the merch booths we could find)

I thought the show was great, it was my third time seeing him and I think it was the best (despite not being able to see the stage, that's what I get for waiting til the last minute). I hadn't checked out any of his recent set lists so there were a lot of surprises for me. "Lovely Rita" was particularly exciting.

Candlestick is the absolute worst, glad to see it go. I had an easier time with this show than I did with JT/Jay-Z, I got home to Daly City by 1:15 last night as apposed to 3 am last time, but I think that's because I accidentally parked in the "Lexus Lot". Still took almost 2 hours, though.

Well that sounds like a total fucking disaster. Definitely feel bad for the people that didn't get in and I'm glad you cut bait and started walking, only missing a couple songs. When we were in the lots trying to sell our extra tickets it seemed weird that the lots weren't full and there wasn't a bunch of activity. I wasn't expecting it to be like a Phish lot but it was really subdued compared to Jay Z last year.

And I agree about the Stadium show v. OSL comparison. I know I'm a homer, but that's part of the reason I still go to OSL and hype it up because I've been able to see Stadium quality headliners in a comfortable setting (minus the super cold days) at a reasonable price. Being able to see Macca, Petty, Arcade Fire, Stevie, Neil Young, etc without having to schlep my ass to Candlestick, San Jose, or Mountain View is so worth it, IMO. We splurged and bought the field seats for last night so we were close and it was great, but it was also the same cost as an entire OSL ticket.

It isn't very clear. When the Breeders made the announcement post for this show on Facebook they said that it was "Due to the uncertain status of the musical portion of the C2SV Festival" and that you could get a refund from C2SV. I couldn't find any more information than that, C2SV has a shockingly bad social media presence.

What a fucking bummer on C2SV.. Yet at the same time not surprising when the amount of announcements compared to last year were so minimum.I'll look more into this weekend.

Also, I saw that Tone of Arc is playing Bottom of the Hill next weekend. Really curious what a dance/house show there would be like.
