I could not find any price ranges yet, but for other tours to be lower level it will be over 150 bucks. However, the other spots he is touring are arenas and not as big as candelstick. Do you think there is any chance of being lower level for under 150
    you are soooooooo good lookin

Don't know the prices, but it think it would be comparable to how much Timberlake/Jay-Z was last year.

Neither. I think Shackleton's going to show up during Memorial Day weekend (hop over from Detroit) and Kangding is in Europe that weekend.

I'm supposed to be away that weekend. I'm trying to tell myself my previous experiences seeing her are enough.

just a hunch, but my guess is one of the following ... orphx, truss, polar inertia

latter 2 have their visas (polar inertia recently played nyc and truss is playing there in early may)

This is a little bit off topic, but is anyone able to explain to me how ticketing for upcoming SHN shows works? I was hoping to buy tickets to a show as a birthday gift. From what I can gather tickets initially go on sale to members, and at some point they open up tickets to the public. That's easy enough to understand, but they don't give much clue what to expect. How far in advance of the show do they usually open up the public on sale? Do they leave a certain amount for the public, or is it just whatever members didn't buy? Meanwhile ticket resellers appear to have gotten their hands on tickets. Are member buying up all the tickets and then re-selling them? Is it worth waiting for a public on sale or should I just go straight to the re-sellers?

I have no idea what SHN stands for, but they bring broadway shows to san francisco.

SHN is the city's main theatre series. Ticketing depends on the show - for big ticket items like Book of Mormon, you usually have to get a series to get a ticket (i.e. you have to buy tickets for five shows, together). Series ticket holders get first dibs on individual tickets to shows, I believe. They generally then release individual tickets separately according to availability.

I'm not sure how far in advance individual tickets go on sale (when they do) but for reference, I'm seeing Once in July, and my friend who got tickets bought them back in January or February. I believe she's a series ticket holder and these were additional individual tickets she got.

It often depends on the show and how long the run is. Are you asking because of the Phantom of the Opera shows coming up?

If so, I think you'd be alright in waiting until they go on sale.

    5/2: Dirty Vegas at Mezzanine

I'll be opening for Dirty Vegas at Mezzanine SF, on May 2nd. Dirty Vegas are the guys that had that tune "Days Go By" that won a Grammy back in 2002. They also played Coachella back in 2003 and are hitting the festival circuit again this year.

Thanks. Do you have any idea when I might expect that to happen? The show does not start until December. I'm wondering if I should expect something closer to May or November.

Hard to say, my guess would be maybe like August or September. If you sign up for the email newsletter they should send out emails prior to any presales, and prior to the general on-sale.

I don't envision anything nearly as difficult for Kinky Boots as there was for Book of Mormon...and I believe both Book of Mormon SHN runs had Amex presales, which made it more difficult for the general public.
