Aight, wanna post the Fourtet contest here as, yet again, we got a contest for a SOLD OUT show at the Mezzanine. Curious about Natasha Kmeto, she sounds, and looks, legit.

Tosca didn't suck as Rupert and Richard traversed a plehora of styles, though, as typical downtempo form, the crowd was chatty.

We got a kick out of the $75 limited tour screenprint t-shirt. Tough times in the world of Huber and K & D...

A $75 t shirt!!! Did you take a photo of it? That sounds ridculous.

    Lol.

Yeah, the show was pretty chill but downtempo on a Tuesday night is tough to get excited over. I'm happy they got the show started early.

I was laughing about the shirt as well. Pretty funny when they were hocking it at the end of the show. I couldn't figure out why it was worth $75 other than it being "custom". It looked pretty stupid to me and I didn't even see the name of the band or anything really distinguishing on it.

PLUS, Dorfmeister was wearing one on stage. After a friend pointed it out and after the show I asked the merch girl if the shirt was really $75. Once she said yes, I had more questions.... She divulged, or lied, that only 50 were made for the whole tour.

I caught that Dorfmeister was modeling the shirt as well. Maybe that shit goes over better in Europe but seemed super cheesey to me. My wife was going to ask about the shirt to see if we were missing something or why they were $75. My wife said she wouldn't wear one if they were free.

The show was great. It was a lot more uptempo than I expected for a downtempo show.

I'm not sure why the shirt is such a mystery. It's probably just some designer shirt. There's plenty of overpriced clothing to be found at even more ridiculous prices than that. A concert is an odd place to be selling it, though.

Goldenvoice's Regency Ballroom Bicycle day lineup is out:

4.19 (scheduled to appear): Alex Grey & Allyson Grey; Mimosa; Star Slinger; Opiuo; Thriftworks; Andreilien; Kalya Scintilla; Love & Light; Insightful; KittyD; Tiger Fresh

4.20 (scheduled to appear): Alex Grey & Allyson Grey; Gramatik; Lotus; Random Rab; Russ Liquid; Exmag; Mikhal; Gibbz; Ryury; DJ Balance; Smokovich

I'd go just for Lotus honestly, but the ticket price is insane. $90+ for a two day ticket, and single day tickets are going to be around $65 when they go on sale..

I wonder why bicycle day moved from 1015 in past years to the regency this year. that's an odd kind of event for Goldenvoice to be hosting.

Oh shit -- that Dance Mania/Mister Saturday Night thing will be a really, really fun party.

If anyone is free this Tuesday, my band is opening for this sick Chinese band called Carsick Cars (http://carsickcars.bandcamp.com/album/the-other-3-ep) at the Night Light in Oakland. Should be a really good show, and the Night Light is awesome. Especially if you like whiskey (paging Zach!)
