Anyone heading to the fox for some Boys Noize tomorrow night? Do you think it will be worth it to try and make it to public works after? I don't spend a lot of time in the bay, so any input on taking Bart after the BN show is appreciated.

Public Works is a solid option as an after show spot and will be open late. I'd imagine there will be quite a few people planning on doing the same thing from Boys Noize. You'll be able to take BART to the city.

I'm planning on heading up for the Ty Segall show in January. Are there any decent bars nearby where I can drink beforehand?

I'm not a huge fan of the bars right next to The Fillmore, but if you are just trying to kill a little time before the show there is a lounge next to Yoshi's that is alright. I recommend Lower Haight, which isn't too far (15 minute-ish walk) and there are a few cool bars next to each other: Molotov's, Toronado, Noc Noc, and a few others.

I havent seen sts9 in maybe three or four years plus a Amon Tobin Dj set is tempting.Plus there is more of a chance to hear/see sts9 play "Circus" which out of the nine times I've seen them they have never played.Yet my friend that use to lived in SF said they usually always play it when saw them up there.

Probably would have better luck getting a helpful answer if you told us what type of event or music you were looking for. There is a lot of stuff going on that weekend (though personally not much that I found interesting).

If your plans fall through Cherub is playing Friday the 28th at Bottom of the Hill. Anyone know what I'm in for? I dig their music but Im very hesitant on whether they're going to be good or not live.

From a quick glance at your posting history, you may be interested in Primus 3D at The Warfield 12/30.

I was going to post about that but became reluctant since I might flake (way too many plans this week), but I was thinking I'd go to that as well, provided I can pick up a ticket the day of.

I would bet that an Amon Tobin DJ set is better (musically) than the ISAM gigs.

Thanks, that is definitely on the list, might try to just troll outside around the start of the show and score a ticket. Also gonna do the same thing for Furthur.

Amon Tobin DJ'd at the Ninja Tune party a few years ago, it was one of the loudest things I've ever heard and was more oriented for the dancefloor than the ISAM shows
