That link seems legit, I won't believe it until I see it though, went ahead and bought 2 tix anyway. I only live a couple miles from the venue

It can't possibly be. It's not "the vipers" playing, but "Petunia and the Vipers" according to the Blank Club's own site. seems to be a rockabilly band.

I'm not risking it. I ended up buying 2 tickets. If the Cure isn't there, then I only lose $20. If they do play, then it'll be the best $20 I spent.

under performers it says: The Vipers, Exene Cervenka, The Cure. The Blank Club website states: Petunia and the Vipers featuring Exene Cervenka + Guests. Are The Cure aka "+ Guests" who knows? I won't believe it until I see it

I did some more digging. It appears that the singer Exene Cervenka has MS. Could this simply be a benefit show for "The Cure for MS"?
I don't know why that kroq event page shows 4 pictures of The Cure along with the other artists performing that night.
Also, Exene Cervenka's webpage has her playing in Minneapolis, MN on 10/6. At this point I would say its a better bet that The Cured (tribute band) will be the ones playing that night
