I doubt they'll be performing as a duo? I think they're just writing that way now, but I'd imagine they're going to have additional players join them, at very least so that they might be able to perform older songs. So excited for the new release.

10/15 - David Byrne and St Vincent @ Orpheum Theatre SF

This is going to be sweet:

Former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and singer/guitarist St. Vincent have teamed up for a new collaborative album entitled Love This Giant. The record is due out September 11 on 4AD/Todo Mundo.

A press release states that the bulk of the project was recorded at Water Music studio in Hoboken, New Jersey and features "infectious and hook-laden" tracks that eschew the "traditional guitar/bass/drums lineup in favour of idiosyncratic horn arrangements".

What's more, the duo will embark on a Fall tour of North America to promote the album. "We'll be doing these songs and a bunch of songs that we suspect people will know, with a group that includes eight brass players, a keyboardist and a drummer," says David Byrne.
