Sorry, I try to keep my music snobbery to a minimum here but this is just such an awful, absolutely generic lineup that seems perfectly catered to teenagers from the suburbs that I don't know why it wouldn't be a 16+ show in the suburbs.

I'm on the street and I see an ad on the side of a Muni train for a benefit Paul Simon show. It's the train on the far side of the street and it's stopped. I'm trying to read the ad a bit more closely and

BAM, the train on the nearer tracks barrels past and blocks my vision and it has the I Love This City ad on it and I am literally forced against my will to read "TIESTO"

Rock the Bells probably had more but that was in the parking lot. On the camera shot of the crowd from the stage, Cypress Hill's crowd looked like it was smoldering from all the smoke. Rodger Waters will be epic. Jealous.

Yes. Really. I don't know why I didn't. One time, coworkers and I even talked about going as a group and making fabulous yet dressy black and white costumes for ourselves. Instead I would spend that night hanging out on my roof listening to the outdoor stage, heh. I'd like to go some year.

I went to literally every single manager that could fill my position but they are all out of town this weekend so I pretty much was depended upon. Really sucked, but I sold my ticket to a friend for face value so at least I made my money back.

It was pretty radical. Never seen a production like that and was very impressed. The sound was good and "the Wall" spanned from the left field foul pole all the way across to where the brick wall in triples alley meets the centerfield bleachers. I'm sure some good photos will surface. Good vibe from the crowd too, everyone was chill and enjoying it (if not being totally blown away by it).

Yeah, the production of it was intense but ran very well. You could definitely tell they have been doing this show for two years because it all ran very smoothly. I was in the upper deck but the sound was great up there.

What a great weekend with the Wall, Karl D doing the Beasties tribute, and then How Weird. Doesn't really get any better than that.
