O.K. Here goes. The rationale Goldenvoice gives for not selling single day tickets (I know, this has been played out) is that single-day ticket holders clog up the hotels. What about those of us who live in close enough proximity to drive there and turn around and go home? Isn't living in the I.E. punishment enough? I guess my question is, how do I not feel cornholed by this decision when my single day situation would already require the monetary sacrifice everyone seems to assume I should make for the three day pass?

Donno, probably the dome dance area again. I don't usually get in till midnight or so and after setting up the tent I just want to crash, but the campsite in general is fun Thursday nights. Everyone's really excited!

I don't know. Like I said I'm really happy with the decision to only make festival passes available. I know that any change in any system is going to work for some people and not work for others, so sorry that this is one change that's not working for you, but I think the festival is going to really benefit from the combination of car camping and no single-day tickets.

Breakfast is my favorite meal. Unfortunately I never leave the campsite/festival, so I can't really recommend. I'd imagine any place will be seriously crowded though. Do what I do, eat soup and a bagel.

Thank you. I understand your point. I just did not realize that my attendance was so off-putting to people. I came, I spent (about $75.00), I cleaned up after myself, I even turned in a lost wallet (with a decent amount of green in it), and I left. Why no room for me? Thanks, also, for not being a dick.

p.s. Good advice to those wanting to "enhance" their experience. Does anyone really think people searching them or their vehicles want to find anything? Don't be blatant.

This will be my first time atending the Coachella festival. I was wondering what the police presence was like at the festival? I am 20 years old and am not planning on being sober at this concert but I obviously do not want to get in trouble. I have been to Burning Man where there are a lot of cops out there but as long as your not doing anything extremely stupid or causing harm to yourself or others they pretty much leave you alone. Is it similar at Coachella or do they crack down a little more and get people in trouble? Also, how thoroughly do they search your car upon entering the grounds?

In more detail, they don't search your car upon entering the grounds. This will be my fourth year (and first being 21) and the last 2, I'd roll in with 2 36 packs and a handle. Wouldn't hide them or anything, plus my truck bed was full of beer cans. No problem. I'd just down as many bruskies as I'd want then head in. Be careful though you could get a hangover around 12am. I did kind of over do it last year, which got me ousted, but I got back in.

No. Nobody knows. But expect it to be very random. It all depends on the person searching your car, what kind of mood they are in, how long they have been working, and if their supervisor is watching.
