People seem to really like the shuttles - they have dedicated traffic lanes around the fest and avoid the congestion and parking hassle. It does sound like you get searched getting off the shuttle so don't think the drink idea would work. It's a long day I wouldn't recommend starting off by drinking oh wait Australia nevermind.

How are the shuttles?

1. Is the parking lot you get served on a first come first basis, or do you get to choose which parking area you want?
2. Doess this apply for the parking lot? I wanted to bring in craft beer and all of it is bottled.

1. the earlier you show up, the closer you park to the exit. Farther walk back and forth from the venue, but it's not so bad.
2. Security is pretty crazy about glass anywhere. Make sure you pour out of the glass into cups, and DO NOT let security walking around see the bottles. We had a problem with this last year. Also, tailgating is not allowed, and they can get pretty pushy trying to get people to move from the cars toward the venue.

Official rule is no, but more often than not you can get snacks in. just don't be too pissed if you happened to get the overly aggressive security guard that really digs through your bag and throws all your snacks away.

EDIT: doesn't hurt to try though, it's not like snacks are expensive, and they
re not going to turn you away, they'll just take your snacks. I'd say 9 times out of 10 no one cares if you bring in a couple granola bars/bags of peanuts,/apples, etc. Don't try to bring in a picnic though

My friends and I are planning on leaving Thursday night(around 10:30) from Orange County...is that still super late? Or do you think we'll be on the safe side as far as arrival to the grounds goes?
