What are the beer prices at the beer garden? And do we have any idea what the cocktail prices are going to be now that they're not VIP only? I did a search and saw someone say that in 2010 the beer prices were $7 for 10oz (yikes!)

That's about the right price for a beer at a sporting event or concert in California. Actually, it might be low compared to games I've been to recently. And it's not a huge beer either.

It actually all varies greatly. Some people get TSA-like pat downs and some barely get any attention. It's like a box of chocolate. You never know what you're going to get. ;-)

I'm planning on carpooling with friends each day and I've heard that the parking can be crazy, I was wondering if you could recommend what time to show up for parking so that we don't miss any of the festival due to parking delays. I was pissed when I went to register my wristband and it didn't work. I bought that shit on craigslist and thought I got scammed. Then I checked the number again and I missed an F.

Getting in usually isn't the problem (though SOMETIMES i've seen jammed lines down the street), it's getting out. But showing up early alleviates both issues. Show up before noon and you're almost guaranteed a good spot up by the exit, and you should be able to just drive right in.

If this is your first Coachella and you are not sure about the parties, I would just stick to going to the festival for as much of the time as possible. Most of the parties are during the day while the festival is going on.

There are LOTS of parties at hotels and estates all over the area. You haven't heard of this?

i'm looking for an afterparty to go to after the event....seriously would like to do some major dance-age till the breakabreaka dawn...ending things at midnight -1am just doesn't cut it for me. How can I find these? Do they exist?

Me and my girl were givin 3 festival passes, 2 VIP's and 1 general admission. Am I suppose to wear both GA & VIP or do I have an extra pass?

The VIP passes are really not worth the money. Did that last year. Got nada.

Are you camping? If so, you probably don't want to leave the campgrounds otherwise you will lose a lot of time in traffic getting to the parties in Palm Springs then back to the festival. The campgrounds have good parties and people with a lot of experience have put a lot of time and thought to maximize the fun before and after the festival. I would stick to those.

If you are staying in Palm Springs, then attending the hotel parties are doable before heading into the festival.

There are definitely handicapped seating areas. In fact, you will have better sightlines than most! As far as wheelchairs, I saw some people in them last year but not sure if they were supplied by the festival or not.

Oh you most certainly won't be alone. I make a spreadsheet for me and everyone I travel with, then we know when we can meet up and if I'm not loving the band I chose to see, I know where to find my friends. Spreadsheets rock!
