I wish this were a spoiler-y thread about the books. Anyone who likes this TV series a lot should dive into A Storm of Swords immediately.
no - there are plotlines and characters from book 1 and 2 that aren't in the show.
The first two books are pretty quick reads, at least they were for me.
I'm going to read them again since I plowed through them too quickly the first time since I wanted to know what happens.
ok dokie, ill keep reading then....thanks

I finally finished A Dance with Dragons last weekend. Wow wow wow. Mr Martin does NOT fuck around when it comes to killing off major characters.
I hardly remember who he killed off in that book.
I "powered" through all those books in about a year, maybe less. I read, I read a LOT and have been since 3rd grade. But for some reason...those books got a little much for me. I love them and still consider the first book to be in my top ten books...but I don't even start to argue with those that hate the series.
Not much, but at least its something. Hopefully we'll get a new trailer in a couple weeks before the Boardwalk finale.
No, don't, don't cut my hair, Ned loves my hair.

Approximately how old is Margaery supposed to be in the books?

Margaery was 15 or 16 when she married Renly, ("as old as Robb"). Renly was 21.
"Why pity?"
"Because it will not last," Catelyn answered sadly. "Because they are the knights of summer, and winter is coming."
