2006- First time I heard of Coachella, but wasn't motivated enough at the time to go. Woops.

Sunday 2007 - Friday and Saturday of 2007 changed my life and then Sunday I went back to LA on a Greyhound bus at 6:00am against my will for a fucking-piece-of-shit all-day high school theater rehearsal that my teacher REFUSED to move even though I had told him in January that I would be absent all of that weekend. I'll never get that day back, ever.

Because the line-up didn't thrill me that year at all, even without stupid Jack Johnson, so I made the really dumb decision to skip Coachella that year. Never again!

Then Prince got added SUPER close to the fest dates, airfare was outrageous by then and I couldn't skip out last-minute on my kids (students), husband couldn't get the time off, etc, etc. Now we just plan for it every year starting around...May or so. Much simpler.
