Last year, it was no metal water bottles for me! Small thing, but isn't it the little things that matter

Coachella 2006, 2007, 2009, and coming soon: 2010
prolly attempting to see Madonna live, but resigned to watching an outdoor monitor feed of the performance while still fighting to see what was going on onscreen. And Im 6'2" for Christs sake. What a waste of time that was.
the overall crowd growth since 2003.
The Glitter Freeze
Coachella 99-10 Vet, the run has ended in 2011
MIA. both times. should have learned my lesson
The cancelations. Wilco, Doves, the Cocteau Twins, the Subways, the Streets, the Bees, the Field, Glasvegas.... All heartbreakers. But Wilco did make up for it later.
It's hard to be dissatisfied with anything that actually happens there, I mean it's like complaining that the couches in heaven are too soft.
Although:
yeah that was pretty lame. We felt like we were watching someone play with legos a half mile away during that set.

"It's in the K" - Martha Stewart
Since the show list is very minimal...
August 29 // Chemical Brothers w/ Chromeo & Yacht @ Hollywood Bowl
September 26 // Vampire Weekend w/ Beach House & the Very Best @ Hollywood Bowl
October 5 // ARCADE FIRE @ Henry Miller Library
October 13 // Corin Tucker Band @ The El Rey
(someone should give me Sufjan Stevens tickets, aint got none of those)
The bathrooms are always the most disappointing thing for me. They are filthy and way too hot. You wait in line to pee and walk in and there some jerk before you exploded all over the place. Why is it so hard to make it into the toilet.
Not eating King Taco last year. I ate pizza for 3 days and on Sunday I spotted a King Taco as I just finished eating.
seeing MIA and missing jenny lewis & band of horses
last.fm/user/killakat
i'm still sad about missing muse & le tigre in 2004, even though i felt justified in seeing both adam freeland & the cure.
and if that's my biggest disappointment, GV is doing something right![]()
-Red Hot Chili Peppers performance in '07....it just didnt do it for me despite being a RHCP fan.
-Missing '08 therefore missing Portishead.
-Learning about Coachella in '07, therefore missing Daft Punk's historic performance.
Spiritualized. I love them so much, and it was a terrible clusterfuck of sound issues and whatnot that they never seemed to recover from.
etienne de crappy comes to mind
Madona is one and the other that comes to mind.........My Bloody Valentine. I know that there are alot of MBV fans, who thought MBV was great, but It was not. It was crap!
Going with the wrong people in 07. I flew out and we camped in J tree. We missed the first day completely because the girl with the car didn't know any of the bands. On sat/sun we arrived no earlier than 3pm. For over 1,000$ spent on the trip it was a total waste.
Morrissey was a little disapponting, although "How soon is now?" at the end was really good.
But Thievery Corporation were a great find...amazing performance...we've been enjoying them ever since...
^ THIS
and after Crookers last year the Chemical Brothers seemed kinda.....boring. Maybe it was just me, but that was the first time I saw them live and I really expected more.
oh, and not finding out about coachella until '07, that really is the most disappointing thing.
I just want something good to die for, to make it beautiful to live
A couple years I have waited too long to buy a Coachella tshirt and had to settle for the leftovers that didn't sellout. This year I will focus and make my purchases on Friday. I recommend anyone set on purchasing a particular design follow my example.
You really think that they didn't recover? I thought the last half of the set was awesome, and they got back on track right up to the end. I did feel bad for Jason and company up there during that first half, however... twas brutal.
Now BRMC in 2004, THAT was a horrible expedition of sound problems the whole way through. Ugh!

July 21- Soundgarden- Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
July 30- Rage Against the Machine/Muse- LA Coliseum
Oct 21- Portishead- Berkeley Greek
Nov 18- Pixies- Fox Theater Bakersfield
I liked MIA's performance last year. But it could have been the drugs. Either way, one of the highlights for me.
Depeche Mode sucked
