It's been there from the beginning.. the weak Britpop headliners Friday; the rumors that DP was gonna play, that it was a done deal, then all of a sudden 'oops, no, not gonna happen'; and now the new album. It's all so obvious.

I did enjoy it, so delicious! It showed up just as I was leaving for Vegas. Sorry I haven't been around to say thanks, the last month has been a bit insane.

Also, I have not been feeling at all crafty, I finally tried to force it last weekend and it just isn't turning out the way I want. So I am going to try again this weekend. I apologize to my recipient for being such a slacker.

It was some delicious snack items. I can't even really explain what all was in it but they were super tasty. In the future though GB, you might want to put a note or something saying who it was from. I had kind of forgotten I signed up for this and had a package from some name I didn't recognize. I only know most of you by your screen names.

My roommate takes baths, and says the bathwater has only been lukewarm but not hot. When she used the shower to rinse off, she said the water was ice cold. I have no problems with my bath/shower. Could it be the tub faucet that's not regulating the hot and cold water? It's about 12-13 years old.

What kind of water heater do you have?

You may have blockage in your pipes. If you can check to see if they are copper or galvanised steel. Your faucet is probably in fairly good working condition. I dont know what the water is like in Missouri but in socal we get our water from the Colorado river and it contains a lot of minerals. Erosion and blockage is common here. Which explains why you might be getting varying degrees of hot and cold water.

OR....your water heater is old and its having trouble being the prime product that it was all those years ago.

My water heater is a Ruudglas Pacemaker. Pipes are copper. Yeah, our water has lots 'o minerals in it too.

Actually, the tub water is hot when it's turned on for a little while, but then it gets lukewarm after 2-3 minutes. I'll fool around with it. I really don't want to call a plumber unless it's necessary.

Do the other sinks in the house get good steady hot water when hot water running?

If yes, the heater itself is probably ok

Do you take showers in the morning before her? It could be that your using all the hot water and leaving little to non for her. If the water heater is old it may have trouble retaining and reheating water like it use to. All water heaters should be replaced after 15-16 years. New city codes and laws usually ban plumbers from even trying to attempt a quick fix on an old outdated model. Replacing a water heater is not as expensive as re piping your home. If you are going to replace, look into tank less water heaters. They are energy efficient and you will never run out of hot water.

...the fuck if this isn't the same problem I'm having... Story of my life

Actually, we did just have water heater issues and had ours replaced. The installer pointed out a thermostat that can adjust the water temperature. During the summer we set ours lower than it needs to be set right now... (In other words, you just reminded me of something I need to do...) But, like the Comic said, "It just may be old and it's having trouble being the prime product it was all those years ago." Check and see if there's a thermostat to adjust before he ends up talking you into hanging wallpaper... -

Yes. What I'm thinking might have happened was that before I left that morning I ran the dishwasher, which probably used up a lot of hot water.

Thanks for the tip on those tank less water heaters. I checked Home Depot's website, the prices on those are pretty wide from $200 to over $1000. My house is a 3 bed 2 bath so I don't know how much one would run for me. I may check them out.

There's a dial on mine that has VACATION, WARM and HOT.

^ Tell the plumbing dept at home depot what you just said here. They will let you know what the best system is for your house. Yeah, tank less kicks ass. No worries about the tank buckling and flooding your home.

A dude on Craigslist is selling a ton of vintage wine boxes/crates for fairly cheap. I'm going to arrange them on my bedroom wall shadowbox/collage style and fill them with my plants, mid century vases and other knick knacks.

I've seen something similar done with mismatched drawers once before at a cafe in Echo Park. This is the best picture I could find that shows how they did it.

I'm also almost done fixing up my living room and making it less boring.

Less boring is a great step in the right direction. Good work, kitt.

Thats a great idea, but just remember to secure all your nick-nacks to the wall. We tend to get earthquakes from time to time. Are you going to stain the wood or paint it?

I'm just going to leave it as is. That's more of the aesthetic style I prefer. The boxes look gorgeous as they are
