I'm starting on my Secret Santa gift right now --- will hopefully have it sent out by next week. Will advise if there is a delay.
Look for a product called barkeepers friend.

You wanna fook on me?!
Oh man, I am sorry secret santa person. I have come to the conclusion that I am not very good at crafting on demand. My thing sort of looks like an elementary school project gone wrong. Craft fail.
That is so pretty.![]()

the keychain is pretty! i was just wondering the other day if i knew anyone who could work with leather.
and i received my gift last week, but i didn't want to post since it's such a small exchange and it would have been obvious whose gift i got, but thank you HowToDisappear!!!! i absolutely love my gifts!
i can't wait to learn how to do my hair with these. barb and her bff gave it a shot though when they drove through town
her friend took another pic i'll post later. but thank you SO MUCH. the painting will go perfectly in my room, i just gotta decide on the spot. i'll be sure to post a pic when i do. thanks again, i've had such a rough month and this really brightened things up
oh, and i was stupid and forgot to get delivery confirmation, so i really hope the package makes it ok =/
Such nice things. You make a very good DIY secret santa participant, HtD.
Edited to say: IFA, just want to reiterate that though I sent my actual assigned person their gift already, you've still got a replacement 2010 gift on the way before the new year or I will eat a bug.

I didn't know this was happening. Too cool. Craft on, ladies.
Craft is not the right word.
Art on, ladies.
Apparently my neighbor got my secret santa box in the mail. Yay! Mystery solved! I am going to open it when I get home.
Hi folks. Just checking up on the exchange. Anybody have anything to report? Did everybody get something?
So, I have actually been slowly working on getting one room entirely decorated in my home for quite a while now. (ugh to the work in progress BS).
I initally bought some red floating shelves for my main bathroom which turned out to be a big failure. Returned the faulty hardware and bought a set of 3 red, square floating shelves. Yay for even more holes in my apartment walls! I have successfully finished haning them all, but I need to take 2 more pictures. I only have the very first step, which is a barron wall with patched holes. After I get the pictures up, I will then link my final addition, which are vinyl/decal picture frames. Ooh, they're wonderful. I'm excited to show you guys.
if Home Depot doesn't have sod today, like last weekend, I'm going to tell them to "sod off!" with the bird on exit. Making an outdoor bathroom for my dog.
just because
as Darth Vader... he makes me do it

The father-in-law was in town this past week and helped get some things done around the house. Some of which was installing our light fixtures.
Now I just have to get in there and get rid of that ring on the smaller one.
I wired up a light yesterday for my shed. Now I just need to get my lawnmower running properly. Any of you bitches know about small engines?
Nothing like going to Ikea on a Saturday afternoon, unless you enjoy going to hell early. Bought the Rast three drawer and painting her dark blue for a Moroccan designed living room with a white lamp on top. Guess others are mixing it up too.
Like the black one from some crazy girl (hate the photo adding/URL bullshit on this site now. So difficult.): http://styledhaven.com/ikea-rast-makeover/

So this thread isn't actually for repairs or anything is it? More like repainted shit?
Hello Marooko,
Thank you for your interest in the Coachella Board's DIY and Home Repair thread. We regret that we are unable to earnestly respond to your inquiry due to your apparent inability to understand that the thread's fairly wide parameters are clearly defined in the title and have been since its creation. If you're unable or unwilling to participate in a discussion that isn't based solely around your narrow interpretation, we encourage you to seek your peace in a more focused discussion hosted somewhere else.
Best,
The Management
Hahahaha, that was bloody brilliant! I almost thought you were scanning in an unpleasant letter for a half a second.
DIY is really creative action in life~
We are redoing our office with a wall-to-wall desk and some wall mounted Ikea BESTÅ cabinets. I spent most of Saturday mounting the cabinets that Ikea claims are too large to wall-mount, so i had to hack the design with some additional wooden supports underneith.
Unfortunatey, they looked out of place, so i got the idea to cover them with cork board from Michaels that I cut into strips. Should work out just fine since the desk will be right below the cabinets and you really only need to pin the top of things.
If there's Coachella to be had, I'm gonna have it
