Why would GV add JAMC to the poster if they're not going to play. If you're going to say you heard they're not playing the very same day they're announced as being in the lineup, you sort of have to back that up...

Looks like Fields, Ratatat and !!! switched days ... and three acts - DJ Heather, Pop Levi, Yeva - fell off the Saturday lineup, probably just because they were on the bottom line and Mike Relm bumped them down off the poster

Back after being a lurker since 2005.

I had to post about this supposed JAMC not playing. That is utterly ridiculous that they would put them on the lineup for like an hour or two and then take them down. Someone said earlier that someone at GV likely "jumped the gun", but that' just insane.

I REALLY, REALLY want them to play, and I think this whole thing just needs to be confirmed. Especially since Cocteau Twins had a similiar situation of reuniting and then cancelling some time afterwards. I don't want that to be the case here.

Well, I can't exactly say I asked Jim and he confirmed it wasn't happening now. Could I?

I trust the person I asked. They would know. And they said it wasn't to be. A shame cos I would have come over from the UK if it was. I was looking at booking flights when this person sent me a message to say it wasn't happening. You can believe it's BS if you like. I just saved myself a few hundred pounds on flights etc. So I am happy.

A tour is brewing for The Jesus and Mary Chain. After recently being announced for North Carolina’s Hopscotch this September, the UK shoegaze outfit has issued a bracket of dates for mid-June. It’s not much, but the band’s website indicates that more dates will be announced shortly. Until then, plan accordingly and catch a clip of JAMC performing “Just Like Honey” at this year’s South by Southwest below.
