So there's a summer fest i work at, and basically my job is customer service. One of the things we handle is camping.

For this particular fest, people camp up to a month ahead of time. Good camping spots (especially in the shade) are a hot commodity.

So on one afternoon, i was working by myself. I had a lot to do, and a lot to deal with in pretty much every area you can think of. There's not a soul around, and i'm enjoying the silence.

Fast forward a few minutes. Up comes this really craggly creepy-looking old man. he looks distraught. He does this little huffy shiver thing, and starts to glare at me.

In my best "I'm here to help" voice, i asked him what he needed. He told me that he "just needed a spot to park his RV in the shade. Is that so hard?!?".

At this point it was about two or three days before the actual event. He probably couldn't have even found a spot for his RV in the middle of a forest fire, assuming it was on the festival grounds.

I politely told him that maybe we could find a tent spot that would be somewhat shaded (there's a no RV policy anyway), and that it would have to be a very small tent.

He's absolutely livid at this point. I wasn't sure what his problem was at this point, until he said angrily

"HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO LIVE IN A TENT WITH A THREE FOOT LIZARD?!? JESUS."

So i'm trying my hardest to keep a straight face. I asked him if there was possibly someone he could call to go to his home and lizardsit for him.

So he looks at me (like i'm an idiot for not knowing this already) and says

"Have you ever tried getting a lizard sitter to come to a nudist colony!?!?!?!"


i was tempted to say yes, but i refrained.
