Coachella kind of revived the whole festival concept after the implosions of Lollapalooza, Lilith Fair and what not...Also, I have been going to the damn thing for 7 years..so I am a little biased...Though I loved All Tomorrow's Parties when they had it in California for a bit...The 2001 curated by Sonic Youth was excellent...

I though maybe I could root out the people who have made it to several festivals. I could've swore there would be some multi-festers. I guess at Coachella, those people don't exist. I've been to several. There are no "ProFesters" in here? I know Coachella is going to rock! "In CA, Smug levels are through the roof!" I'm now going to Bonnaroo 07 and ACL 07. Should be a blast. I wanna go to Lollapalooza! MULTI FESTERS UNITE!!!

The poll may have been slightly improved if you took Coachella out of the list, then. I think it's also due to the fact many bands/artists stop by California that many don't feel the need to go to festivals, and quite frankly, it's expensive unless it's "in your own backyard".

yeah. I knew Coachella would blow everything else away, but I really wanted to see how many votes the others got. It seem that the coachella crowd is way more smug that other festival crowds. at bonnaroo you meet people from EVERYWHERE. MOre than half, im sure, at coachella are people from that area. I'll be roadtrippin from ft worth texas! should be a blast! I hope the vibe is as free flowing at coachella

Rock on! I am going to both Coachella and Bonnaroo this year, as well as Free(Ozz)Fest! Also got tix to see the Police w/Foo Fighters at LA Dogers Stadium! Going to be the best summer EVER for concerts!


I voted for Bonnaroo on the poll, just because I love the 'chill' friendly vibe of Bonnaroo, but I loved Coachella last year. Coachella definantly gets my vote for the best festival site. The pretty views and nice green grass at Coachella were a pleasant surprise last year.
But the best festival I have EVER been to was Lollapalloozas 1 & 2!!!!

I have met people from Mexico,Spain,Bulgaria,Chile,Brazil,Germany,Canada,
and a lot of people from the various states.That to me would be just about everywhere.

SXSW is the most epic but it is hardly comparable to Coachella. It is also the least accessible for many but in many ways is the most fun!
