Default BANDS I'VE SEEN LIVE THAT I NEVER WANT TO AGAIN

here's a list of the bands i've seen live.. that I never would care to see again.

Grizzly Bear (as of yesterday.. I expected alot better!!!)

Franz Ferdinand - (saw them at the troubadour with the walkmen before they were big. It was cool then but lame now.

    The French Kicks- boring

Les Savy Fav- Worst show i've ever seen!!!!!! and I love the albums.

Scissor Sisters- my girlfriend made me see them at coachella.. all I can say is blah. I missed Dungen because of it... or Devendra Banhart .. I cant remember for sure

best bands i've seen live and will continue to see as often as possible

    Liars
    Xiu Xiu
    Weird War
    Radiohead
    Spoon
Q & not You - were awesome live!
    Mogwai
    Sigur Ros
    Of Montreal

I greatly enjoyed both Grizzly Bear and Franz Ferdinand.
I would never see Weezer again. They are so depressingly doing it for the money. Kings of Leon bored the living hell out of me, I've no interest in seeing them again.

I drove an hour with a friend of mine in college to see Orgy, yes...Orgy for $6. Worst $6 I've ever spent in my life. I'd rather see Tiffany and NKOTB again

Wow, this is a very interested thread! It got me thinking.
Now before I post this list I need to put a disclaimer: I have been to a number of festivals in the USA and Japan so I have sat through a lot of very different bands. Also, I used to work in a Hotel in Las Vegas where I would get free tickets and be dragged by friends to go. I have only walked out willing from one of these shows, let's see if you can find out wish.

    Here is the BAD list...

    Godsmack
    Good Charlotte
    Blondie
    The Vines
    Har Mar Superstar
    Hieroglyphics
    Common

    Here is the GOOD list...

    Radiohead
    Bjork
    Sigur Ros
    Boredoms!
    David Bowie
    Aphex Twin
    The Hives
    The Liars
    Massive Attack
    Mogwai

I will add more, the more I think about this...

i had a bootleg from that show hole did in germany i think? just after kurt died, and she flipped out on the goth kids who were screaming "you killed kurt" at her, and told them to go listen to NIN or something.

    was pretty funny shit.

Yeah, she flipped out the last time I saw her too, but I think it was in like 1998 or 1999, shortly after the release of Celebrity Skin.

Way too much diva behavior and too little rocking.

Tilly and the wall opened for of montreal at the vanguard in la almost 2 years ago, of montreal was amazing. Tilly and the wall however was one of the most annoying acts i had ever seen in my life. I even kind of like their recordings. I was able to see Elliott Smith before he passed away, he was really out of it, wasn't at his best, but I still enjoyed it very much. Immortal Technique was pretty shitty live too.

best live performances: of montreal, the rapture, the locust, liars, wu tang clan (first rock the bells), sigur ros, there were a few more that i can't quite remember right now. if you haven't had the chance to check any of these bands out live, when the opportunity comes take it.

Adam Green... I was expecting so much more from one of the founders of the Moldy Peaches... he was so strung out, his band was so bored, it was a glorified lounge act.

I saw Of Montreal a couple of weeks ago and I was pretty yawnin. Half of the band seemed pretty bored, all of the songs seemed extremely similar in pace and sound (which is surprising for a band with such a large and diverse catalog). It seemed like a big ego rub session for Kevin Barnes. The Blow (just hyperkareoke) was so much more entertaining as an opener.

Went to Not So Silent Night a few years ago (San Francisco radio station Christmas concert) to catch Muse... there was a host of other bands that were so boring, Taking Back Sunday, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers, just to name a few.

Modest Mouse... Isaac Brock is a royal douchenozzle who is not worth spending a penny of your money on. After 40 minutes his vocal monitor stopped working and had the venue change it out twice for him, threw a hissy and then walked of stage and ended the show. Sorry but that fucker has no need for a vocal monitor. I will never see them again or spend a cent on their music.

    The Shins....

Opened for White Stripes in Brooklyn in summer 05...

I felt the same pain as if I got kicked in the Shins...

I love modest mouse, but I agree with you on Issac. He is a fucking douchebag haha. I met him at weenie roast, and because of my age he figure I just got into them and heard them on tv or the radio or something (I was like 13) and he was just acting like a total jerk. He had the nerve to interupt me when i was talking to him to say "I've got other people to talk to" like 8 or 9 seconds into our conversation and he just walked away.

First and foremost at the very very top of my list
Sisters Of Mercy...the most suckage of a live band ever.
Hard-Fi they were meh, the singer tried to pull of this clash attitude while drinking bottled water and singing off key. Nothing was missed by there cancellation at Coachella last year.
"God got Wendys' period mixed up, every 28 days she starts acting nice...it lasts about a weekend."

i had a similar experience. basically he stood expressionless (and sweaty) onstage while trashy girls were escorted away for jumping onstage and trying to kiss him. he sounded like crap, and looked even worse. and on top of it all, he had a beard so his face didn't even jiggle comically [as per usual] for my enjoyment. i haven't listened to them since then.

Yes, It was Godsmack I walked out from.. I wished I would have walked out of Good Charlotte but it was at the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan and had to sit through them to get a good spot for Radiohead...

    mmm
clap you hands say yeah, and interpol,
when they came to Mexico city, was sooo boring..

I had a lot of expectations and they act like they're playing for free or we did not pay for our ticket...

great shows I saw last year here, Mexico city:

the strokes, the killers, the mars volta (same festival with clap your hands..)
    phoenix.. best show last year!!
and the rapture!! they are dynamite!!

I cant wait to see Muse, next april 12, i hope I will not be dissapointed, 'cause the tickets were very expensive....

    Well, with about 4-5 years of concert viewing under my belt, here's what I would gauge as the best and worst;

    WORST-
P.O.D. (they went on... and on... and on...)
Bloc Party (It was one jumbly mess and you couldn't hear shit, totally killed my opinion of the band)
Jack's Mannequin (AWFUL Message In A Bottle cover... No feasible talent whatsoever)
The Used (Just a terrible band... The fact they were playing a huge ampitheatre setting didn't help out their crappy sound equipment.)
Finch (Their lead singer was crappy)

    GOOD-
Death Cab for Cutie (spectacular both times I saw them)
    Spoon
S.T.A.R.S. (nearly stole the show from Death Cab)
    The Dresden Dolls
    Weird Al Yankovic
Cake (I saw them for free which rocked)
    Fear Factory
    Megadeath
    etc.
