I forget what year it was, but Gilmour was touring and Waters was touring both at the same time. I went to both and you could flip a coin which one was best. I think part of the reason was each concentrated on the songs they were known for. cr****

i thought you left halfway through to go look at the spotlights because Waters was nothing but a 'fucking light show'
Blame gilmour for that. Waters has stated time and time again after Live 8 that he would have loved to do more shows under the Pink Floyd name. For the most part Richard Wright had also agreed and Nick Mason is down for whatever. Gilmour was the one to turn it down each time stating that it was good once but never again. So it's not even so much that they don't get along anymore, it's an unwillingness to tour under the Pink Floyd name with Roger Waters in the group. Since the passing of Richard Wright, it will never happen though, as it shouldn't
well that sucks. but a part of me thinks that they will tour again for a Richard Wright tribute tour.
and personally i dont care if it was gilmour fault cause he is way to sexy to ever get mad at. the way he plays the guitar, the way he sings, just everything about him is perfection.![]()

That is true that in recent years Gilmour has been the one to turn down doing more Pink Floyd shows. It should be noted that there is a long history of disagreements between Gilmour and Waters. There are several stories on Wright leaving the band after the Wall, and I remember a VH1 show on Pink Floyd with Wright saying on camera that Waters fired him. Wright seemed quite bitter about it. When Gilmour, Mason and Wright decided to record and tour under the Pink Floyd name back in the 80's Waters tried to stop them and really ripped on them in the press.
My point is that Gilmour is likely still bitter over things that Waters did and said in the past and I can understand why he would not want to do more Pink Floyd shows.
And I agree with Richard Wright passing there should not be more Pink Floyd shows.
