can we assume, Jay-Z was the backup plan? and not Muse or Gorillaz?

The Who would have been pretty fun to have, over Jay-Z especially. This is all my opinion of course. It is nice to have that headliner time to roam around and see other great acts that would have conflicted (all assuming Jay-Z was the "backup"- possibly PiL, the Specials, Fever Ray, Echo).
July 21- Soundgarden- Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
July 30- Rage Against the Machine/Muse- LA Coliseum
Oct 21- Portishead- Berkeley Greek
Nov 18- Pixies- Fox Theater Bakersfield
They should definitely add The Who to Friday or Saturday
very glad the who will not be at coachella
im psyched to see jay z cause this will prob be the only opportunity i have to see him, but woulda loved the who too. seen em 6 times, i am always down for a who concert.
no coachella for me this year. lineup is too weak to fly coast to coast.
Ahh man, and I was sooo looking forward to waiting at the main stage and seeing David Carusoe walk up on stage and introduce The Who with some corny liner followed by... YEEEAAAHHHHHHH!!!

Whatever, gimme Gay-Z over The Who anyday
12/6: Japandroids/DIIV
1/10: Mister Lies/Matthewdavid
I saw The Who play some years back and they still put on a pretty good show. The reality is there's no more Keith, and John, and it really does limit their sound unfortunately... It just ain't the same man.
^^^^^LOVE your avatar!!!!
i'd watch The Who over Jay-Z any day.. but i realize Jay-Z may sell more tickets at this point..
and i wouldn't want to ruin my 'only watch one headliner a year' streak i got going..
