Man C Dubs, I am very much jealous. And NIN Wiki has the tour called the "Dissonance" tour. Weird.

Updated my 1989 poster. Added more bands and rearranged some. I think I can even add more to it!

It was a very weird show now that I look back on it. Full of weird Bowie props and lighting including this big floating fetus thing with Saturn rings? Again all based on the "conceptial" portion of his Outside record.
Actually both of those shows above, Bowie started and ended his sets with Hallo Spaceboy. The first one a stripped down version with Reznor, then at the end a full on version that even included members of Prick which were the true openers on the tour.
and since this is a poster thread...
Bowie's set
Subterraneans (with NIN)
Scary Monsters (with NIN)
Reptile with (with NIN and Prick)
Hallo Spaceboy (with NIN)
Hurt (with NIN)
The Hearts Filthy Lesson
Look Back In Anger
Voyeur Of Utter Destruction (As Beauty)
Outside
I Have Not Been To Oxford Town
Andy Warhol
Breaking Glass
We Prick You
The Man Who Sold the World
A Small Plot Of Land
Quicksand
Nite Flights
Under Pressure

Hmmmm?
A play on one of the most recognized music symbols? Might as well use the Beatles font.
and after Woodstock 98, I wouldn't go near that bird.

Ok. After eons of research and many, many photoshop hours... here are all 3 of my final entries. Hopefully all of these are eligible for the contest. The lineup is more important than the designs, and it took me longer to research that than all of the photoshop work combined.
I did my best to make a well-rounded lineup for '88... 114 bands (on the first two)... making sure to include enough new wave, post punk, rock, metal, electronica/techno/house, and some older, classic acts.
This was fun! Cheers!

One little thing you may consider... remove whoever signed her shin. Just move the name to the left or the right, looks like stitches, and is the only time it happens.
On a bigger note, I'd look at Coachella's line up from 2001. I think you have to many "big" artists on there for a one day event... but that's just me.

C Dub I love your "nintendo" poster....awesome work!
a boom box?
Hmmm Blur subheadlining in 92? Really?
They only had one very under-performing record to their name then. just sayin.
I'm going to have stop helping people out.

also kinda late for that "interlaced" font.

Nirvana would have never headlined in 1991...not many people even knew who they were until the fall of that year.
I really like your Nintendo thing C Dub! Cool addition. This contest actually made me decide to upgrade my computer so I could work photoshop smoother. I wish I was better at it.
*based upon tedious fact checking.
year?
Nirvana was original slated to Headline on Friday, until Kurt's untimely death.
Rumors circulated that the remaining band members would play tribute to Kurt, until finally Pearl Jam replaced them entirely.
Their set was dedicated to Cobain.
