    From wiki:
In March 1979, however, the band's critical financial situation demanded that they leave the UK for a year or more, and recording was moved to the Super Bear Studios near Nice.[170][171] The band were rarely in the studio together, but Waters' relationship with Wright broke down completely...

5 out of 7 posters from 79 have Pink Floyd headlining. I don't know if the judges will do much research of their own, but stuff like this should automatically disqualify those posters.

It's a cool poster, but you might as well change the year to 80 or 81 and adjust the rest of the lineup accordingly.
It does work. You need to live beyond wiki my friend. In 2004 The Pixies weren't talking to each other either. Big difference here is there was a new album finished.

I know what your are pointing out, but you have to understand... MANY bands tour in front of records to be released, so my poster does work. Floyd touring the Wall in 79 is 100% fine. Wall themed art is also fine. I found out that The Wall's promotional materials started to hit record stores in September of 79.

They toured the Wall in Feb of 80, so a couple months difference in a fantasy line up seems to be ok to me. Point is, they were huge enough to headline, with or without The Wall in the can. In October of 79, we can safely assume that record was finished... so they are on my poster, and The Wall art makes sense.

The research I'm talking about is more along the lines of having bands that don't exist yet, or dead people, or good ole headliner worth.

My point is that, in reality, Pink Floyd DID NOT PLAY ANY CONCERTS during this time. They were broke, pissed off at each other, and in the studio.

They didn't play a single show between July 1977 and Feb 1980.

And Coachella didn't exist prior to 1999. C DUB having them booked to headline a fictitious festival during the time frame that they didn't play a single show is a lot less egregious than someone booking Joy Division on the bottom line of 1975 or Nirvana headlining 1991.

    Very creative poster.

Very unoriginal and uninspired lineup, and filled with billing errors.

Wow. Mauro Picotto is billed high. Very good poster though.

Pretty good, you may wanna change up the type sizes based on a design hierarchy. Most of that Russian Avant-garde-propaganda stuff in always based on angles, I'd list the bands like that too, but thats just me.

You can back a ways and look at early russian design. This is a good ref for that.

not that I need to defend this anymore but, you are still a bit wrong in facts and logic.

    1. They were NOT in the studio for every bit of October of 79. Nor WOULD IT MATTER IF THEY WERE. You seem to fail to realize this point.

Did you not read what I said about the Pixies 2004 example? If you take their example, they went a lot longer not talking to each other, a lot longer being pissed, a lot longer not playing a single show, a lot longer being a lot more broke than Pink Floyd... etc, etc.

    2. You say they didn't play a show in 2 1/2 years before my fantasy Coachella. That does not matter one bit either. If your logic is applied to this years fest, we'd have no Pavement, no Sly Stone, no PIL, etc...

You are over-thinking this. When I said for someone to do more research I was referring to seeing Abba on an early 1970's poster, a full 3 years before they were even a band. That's what I was talking about. Not about tensions preventing an EXISTING band from putting on a show a month before a record was coming out

    Do you see the difference?

I think that might be only 2 or 3 posters worth.

I'm confused. Are you saying I need more hierarchical structure? Also are you saying to angle all the bands?

Not really... maybe a little when it comes to bands vs dates and such.

The headliners are a little hard to see... thats all.

I would put them on an angle, but I don't think you need to.
