    1982 poster

I for one would want to see an early Bones brigade demo in the middle of the polo grounds.

Fixed the dates, and also dropped Roxy Music down to the fourth line, bumping up Neil Young, Deep Purple, and Tim Buckley.

This is pretty fun. I think my poster has a pretty good mix of 1972 acts, without being too ridiculously unrealistic.

I like the addition of Guns N Roses in the posters from 1989 but they weren't headliner material just yet. I think the 1991 posters should have had them as headliner instead. 1991` is when they started their Use Your illusion world tour. In 1989 they were finishing up opening for The Stones and Aerosmith on separate tours. 1991 was when they tore shit up!!!!

great job by everyone. I'd try to make one but I just don't have the patience unfortunately.

Here's my attempt at 1984. The font is Bauhaus, despite the fact that Bauhaus broke up in 1983.

Guns N' Roses were quite possibly the biggest rock band rolling in 1989, evidenced by the fact that they were opening for the huge (but decrepit) Stones. Also, that era (late 80s, early 90s) was all about big tours with multiple huge bands... GNR toured with Metallica and FNM as well.

They got nominated for a slew of MTV Awards and AMA Awards on the basis of "Appetite for Destruction", and GNR Lies went to #2 in 1989 despite sucking and having anti-gay, misogynist, and anti-immigrant lyrics.

By the time of the 1989 festival, Appetite for Destruction had gone 7x Platinum, and GNR Lies was 2x Platinum. Compare that with Muse or Daft Punk, for instance, who have never gone platinum in the USA. Heck, it's taken Gorillaz almost a decade to get 3x platinum.

Plus, they're a Los Angeles band. So, I guess I disagree.

And I thought of everything that you said right there, I just think that 1989 would have been too early for them to be given headline status just yet. They didn't have enough material either if ya ask me. The GNR/Metallica/FNM tour was in 1992

For all of you that have yet to contribute your creations yet continue to criticize everyone's attempts...GET OVER IT! Why are you so concerned with people's placements as far as the billing? Make your own poster and focus on it. Who's to say what would've happened in a theoretical event? Besides obvious things like deaths, break-ups, and what not. Anything can happen. It's Coachella. The billing is never the way every person thinks it should be. Maybe they would've thought differently that year. Scheduling conflicts do exist. Give these people a break. At least they're trying.
