the look of that poster looks waaaaay too contemporary to be 1974. Those graphics look like a rave poster or something. There are other things wrong, but I'll let you figure those out on your own.

My submission... 1978 was my choice as it is the year I was born, but it was so hard to pick acts that wouldn't simply repeat menikmati's diverse lineup in that great '77 design. I had to sneak in a Velvet Underground reunion, and some homage to roots and inspiration for the 2010 lineup. Also: Some Girls-era Stones, Gilmour solo prior to Pink Floyd headlining, Iggy Pop and David Bowie in their collaborative years, post-Rumours Fleetwood Mac, experimentalists (Cage, Anderson, Eno, Ono, etc.), punk frontrunners, hip-hop pioneers, and pure 1970's goodness.

Congrats to all on your great entries, and thanks Coachella for the great contest!

A couple of 1969 entries - they're both the same except I added some bands in the bottom one and a certain someone who wasn't in a band yet but would have definitely been booked had the festival existed.

A friend of mine who's better at Photoshop made a silhouette out of the photo in the 2nd one to create the background for the first one.
